Lovely cafe in a great location on a side street in Abdoun. coffee is fantastic, service is great, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Full range of coffees, teas, and treats. Seating both indoors and outdoors, and honestly a great place to park and work in the early morning, or to brainstorm with friends in the evening. Deserves a vist.
We picked up some food from Garo's for the office, and it was absolutely fantastic. Light, fresh, and really delicious. Well priced, tasty, and just a great simple meal. I'd highly recommend their food, and if you've tried it, would encourage you to review it as well, as the place deserves some recognition.
We had both sandwiches and their flat breads. All was great, particularly the spicy Toshka and Maria flat breads, which were spicy and had a great kick. We also had the Sujuk and Cheese sandwiches, as well as the Habrat Samak, all tasty and worth giving them a try.
First experience with Armenian food, and it did not disappoint. They are located in Jabal Weibdeh.
I spent the first evening of Ramadan at Blue Fig, and the setting was beautifully done. The Ramadan look and feel was both modern and warm. We took our young daughter there for a night out, and the service was very warm, the food excellent, and Ramadan experience priceless.
Blue Fig is exceptionally clean, and they have a special Ramadan menu. My daughter had the regular hamburger, and she loved the food. We had drinks, with me trying the Sahlab, which was great, my wife had the raspberry flavored soda, which was great. This, alongside the usual knicknacks of Ramadan snacks made the evening enjoyable for all.
The cost was on the higher side, but the evening we had could have been anywhere in the world, as the setting was lovely, and the service outstanding. We'd definitely go again.
A wonderful experience, and fantastic dinner setting on Rainbow Street. A warm and authentic restaurant that is recapturing the spirit of the old homes in the 1st Circle area.
The service was perfect, not overbearing, instead friendly and informed. From the minute we waked in they gave us several seating options, an outdoor cafe' setting overlooking passer-bys on the busy street, an indoor dining area, and a back terrace that blends the two atmospheres. We sat on the back terrace, and tried their Mansaf as well as the Kufta with Tahini. Both were excellent, as was their Arabic ice cream dessert with cotton candy.
Menu is great, atmosphere is even better, and customer service was extremely positive. They have a valet parking which we did not know about and ended up walking a fair bit to get there. But even that was not an issue, as Amman's nights are cool and its a lovely area to walk around in.
Highly recommended, unique experience.
What a special place, in any season.
By Amman standards, as family friendly as a place can get, diverse menu, makes just about anything you want, and caters to all budgets, big or small. They've really thought of everything. The food is consistent and very good, as is the presentation, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Very clean place, very helpful staff, lovely bakery, and they are not too full of themselves to let you do anything you need there.
Menu is very diverse, and everything we've tried has been very good. The atmosphere is lovely, with a fireplace in the winter to outdoor seating in the summer. Small enough to be intimate while big enough to withstand any requirements you have. Value for money is excellent, and customer service is top notch. They've done a great job here.
Above all of this, they also offer free wifi, meaning they cater to any mood you're in. There's also a small park across the street, which while difficult to get into (they lock it and you need the guard to open it), its just a nice place overall to just hang out with family or friends. Good for business meetings as well.
Overall, highly recommended.
Went there with a guest on a beautiful spring evening in Amman. Sat all the way down (Beer Garden?) in a nice informal setting with a lovely view of the city.
The place has a unique atmosphere, very simple, but very satisfying at the same time. The staff are very friendly, very helpful, and not imposing. The menu is diverse enough without being confusing, and we opted for simple appetizers, including Nachos (OK), mozzarella sticks (great), steak skewers (OK, little dry), and spring rolls (great). Drinks were good, so no issues there. Offers shisha. Simply and uniquely decorated, and has a nice outdoors feel. Watched Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid on a huge screen outdoors, making the experience wonderful.
I'd definitely go there again, maybe not specifically for the food, but more as a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a lovely Amman evening. Great place to hang out with friends.
Service is good, and very friendly. Would recommend to all.
My neighborhood work place. Filled with entrepreneurs, laptops, free internet, and generally great service. Great outdoor seating to enjoy Amman's weather. Food is OK, still trying to understand their funky menu approach, but service is perfect. Warm staff, valet parking, hubbly bubblys, and overall all that you need to just zone out in your work and get things done.
Would recommend for meeting and or for simply typing away alone in a corner.
Clean place, diverse menu, general atmosphere is good. Great fruit juices. Don't like that they just bring you and charge you for a bottle of water (seems senseless for people who order drinks anyways. Prices are above average, but they make up for it with great customer service. TV screens everywhere for sports fans, but not loud enough to get you to lose focus. Overall a great place, first and foremost for service, and then for everything else.
Lovely place on so many levels. Service is great, and the staff there are very friendly and accommodating. Kind of reminds me of the coffee shop in Friends, in that it's very homey, informal, and has a warm feeling. Coffee is great. I had the Vanilla White Chocolate Mocha, sweet, but tasty with real pieces of chocolate. The regular drip coffee is great as well. Nice, smoke free environment, and friendly crowd, mixture of young and old, business and casual. The cupcakes are worth trying, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Highly recommended cafe!
The original! It really can't get any better than Frosti. Not too sweet, tastes natural, just a great experience overall. The kids just love the place, over any other, over anything you can buy in a supermarket. I am amazed at how consistent it always is, and how nice the team that work there are.
One point, the owners should really give the place a little renovation. It is a classic shop that needs to be treated as such.
A favorite little location for a quiet cup of coffee in the early morning. Their mocha is amazing, the service very nice, and a good place for a work chat or to catch up on some work. Internet works fine, lots of drink choices. Could have a greater variety of sandwiches and snacks, but considering the simple way the food is presented, it actually tastes great. Drinks also tastier than other options, such as Starbucks, etc.
I'd recommend it in a flash.
Vinaigrette was simply stunning. Enjoyed a dinner there, and was very impressed with the remodeling of the restaurant, giving 360 degree views of Amman. The view of Amman is breathtaking, and from the 7th floor of the Qasr Hotel, it looks gorgeous.
Service upon arrival was fantastic, and staff were very friendly. Waiters took orders relatively promptly, and did not pressure us to order extra (no upselling by waiters which I really appreciated). We had appetizers and sushi, and the food was very good. Tried two different sushi boats, and both were very good.
One thing I liked was that the menu is really varied, and there is a price range to suit any occasion. Great place and would definitely recommend.
I stopped there by chance, parking in front of it, and decided to try a pizza. I really liked how friendly all the staff was. The way they speak to customers and respect their clients was very special. It's mostly a takeaway place, with lots of orders coming in by phone. They knew every customers name which I found nice.
I had a fungi pizza, and it was delicious, so quality of food is fresh and great. Place seemed very clean, but small in size. I would recommend at any time, if just because the staff is so helpful, and the pizza tasty.
We had a wonderful Friday family lunch there. Canvas is very very family friendly, with lots of open spaces, lovely terraces, internal seating, and an external garden. The setting is very green, very quiet, and has a general relaxed feeling. The interior is lovely as well.
The biggest surprise I had is that it was not full, instead very comfortable, almost like a hidden treasure. Service was good, staff was friendly, and here are some points for consideration:
1. Setting and atmosphere was perfect, really.
2. Food was OK and there is room for improvement. All that we ate was good, but there is room to make it great.
3. Pricing was fair.
4. Staff was extremely flexible.
Hope this helps!
