When I called on Wednesday to make a reservation no one told me that there's cover charge or anything like that but I was surprised that they took 10 JDs from each guest and it covered nothing!!! It wasn't even minimum charge it was just an entry fee because there's a DJ!!!!!!!! Knowing that our table wasn't in the same place where the DJ WAS and we didn't even pay attention for his music which wasn't wow!!!
Is there any place without a DJ specially Thursday night??? So y to take 10 JDs from a person who will order dinner??? Unjustified gesture so I will not go there again
“It just gets better and better!” – Salute a“romantic” twenty three-old restaurant in the heart of jabalamman is one of Amman most deeply impressive all-rounders – service is “impeccable”, and the “exciting” cuisine provides “a beautiful blend of dishes”.
The worst place ever, I faced a problem with them on Feb. 7 2015. I went with my friends and family to “Salute restaurant in Jabal Amman” to have dinner. The guys who are working there didn't allow us to go in because one of the girls was wearing a headscarf "Hijab". Their excuse was the headscarf " Hijab " is not a good image for tourism.
They are arrogant, and very racist. I don't recommend anyone to go there at all
Went there with a guest on a beautiful spring evening in Amman. Sat all the way down (Beer Garden?) in a nice informal setting with a lovely view of the city.
The place has a unique atmosphere, very simple, but very satisfying at the same time. The staff are very friendly, very helpful, and not imposing. The menu is diverse enough without being confusing, and we opted for simple appetizers, including Nachos (OK), mozzarella sticks (great), steak skewers (OK, little dry), and spring rolls (great). Drinks were good, so no issues there. Offers shisha. Simply and uniquely decorated, and has a nice outdoors feel. Watched Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid on a huge screen outdoors, making the experience wonderful.
I'd definitely go there again, maybe not specifically for the food, but more as a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a lovely Amman evening. Great place to hang out with friends.
Service is good, and very friendly. Would recommend to all.
For me and my husband, this is our sanctuary. Menu Selection:
This is one of Salute’s many strong points. The menu selection is very extensive and it can even cause a little frustration to some people, trying to decide what to order among so many excellent choices. You will have no problem finding something to suit your tastes. The food is all very tasty, with a home- cooked goodness. I have never been disappointed with my food at Salute.
Service is prompt and courteous from the moment we walk in the door. Everyone from the hosts to the waiting staff was helpful without being pushy or overbearing. Once, One of our meals had to be sent back to the kitchen for some additional cooking. The manager delivered the corrected order to our table with her apology for the problem. While the delay did force my husband to wait for his food the side orders were replaced and the entire order arrived hot and ready to eat.
Salute offers an interesting atmosphere, and this is the primary reason that people keep coming back. This restaurant is often crowded, so its better to make a reservation in advance. There are 2 dining areas there features dark colors, and large wooden tables and chairs. There is usually heaters in winter, to add to the warm, cozy feeling. This atmosphere blends in perfectly with the home- style food.
Salute is a very good restaurant, with great tasting food and a homey atmosphere. It’s generally quiet and friendly, more of a romantic type restaurant than anything else.
