Vocalist/Musician ~ Children's Songwriter ~ "We are the joyful voice" and "Hallelujah" and coming soon "Shoft Elamar" also written and composed by me ~ "Zurouni" album which is a collection of Fairouziyat for the legendary Fairouz ~ a New York Arabic Orchestra Chorus Member ~ St.Thomas More Church Choir Member.
My first steps in the artistic world were at the beginning of the 1980's when I took part in school plays and various friends and family events singing Fairouz & Majida Elroumi songs that have been a dear passion since early childhood, then Churches started inviting me to sing and thought that this is a great way to share the Gospel through singing his word.
I always had an ear for melody, it runs in my family, no matter what the circumstance, the mood or the day, I always find a reason to sing something. "There's a song for everything and when there isn't one I write my own!"
As a child, born & raised in Amman, Jordan, my dream was always to sing on a stage playing the piano. I always believed this dream would come true. Receiving much moral support from my family and loyal friends who have always provided me with valuable input and guidance and have helped me remain on the right path. In all cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles, there is one similarity all people have: the love of music.
When a culture emigrates to a new land, the two things they bring with them are their food and their music.
" My voice is a gift from God, my creator & giver of all good things. I don’t own it & I should not take credit for it, but am responsible for it". I did not spend years developing my talent in a conservatory, it came completely as a gift. I then learned how to use it & how it worked. It takes a will & a dream. You too can make it happen. A quote I go by: "Life's like photography, you use the negatives to develop" :)
I graduated from YWCA in 1985 and at that time it was the best experience ever my name is Naela Saman Zeidan and I live now in USA but would love to visit YWCA and bring back the memories. God bless you all
