My husband and I went for dinner there last night. The overall ambiance and decor of the place is very nice, but the problem was the lighting, it was extremely dim, we could barely see the menu, and the seating was actually uncomfortable.
The food was good, we had ordered a Thai Beef Salad (really tasty), a Steak Sandwich and a Salmon dish. The portions were extremely small, for example, with my Salmon (140gm) I got a slice of carrot, a slice of kusa, one string bean, one tiny piece of broccoli and less than a quarter cup of mashed potatoes, its a good thing it was a well cooked and tasty salmon or I would have had to complain. and its lucky that we are not big eaters or else we would have left hungry.
The best thing we had was the dessert, it was a Chocolate Fondant with a scoop of ice-cream, again the portion was extremely small, but it was amazing, we absolutely loved it!
The worst thing we had was the cappuccino! I am a big coffee drinker and I must say that that was the worst I have ever had.
For two people, we spent 76 JDs, it was a ridiculous price to pay for such small portions. at least they saved us 2 JDs for validating parking :P
The walls painted with flowers, light green and the pink and floral seating is all a wonderful atmosphere for a women, but i'm afraid it is not a place a man would go to for a cup of coffee.
I have only tried the deserts and coffee there. The deserts are good, not great, but the coffee is amazing! I wonder what brand they use :)
What I thought was very different about the place is that they offer a 25% discount for anyone with a traffic ticket, but it has to be dated the same day, so as to cheer you up a bit for getting a ticket!
The place is well kept and clean, and the employees are very nice and pleasant.
I'm rating this place as great because I go there so often.
I will admit that the seating area they have isnt really nice, and I do not like eating there, but with that being said, I love their "Home-Cooked" meals, they offer a wide range of "tabeekh", everyday is a different menu, and the prices are extremely reasonable. As a working mom and wife having a place like this near where I work is great.
I must also mention that the owners are extremely friendly and are always there to insure the best service for everyone who comes in, and all the people who work there are very helpful.
I have been going to Sara Sea Food for the past 2 years, and as far as the food goes, its has been one of my favorite sea food restaurants since then.
The food is always excellent, and the prices are relatively good compared to others.
But I have two problems with this restaurant. One; is the service, it takes FOREVER to get your food, even when we have ordered in advance we still arrive there and have to wait!! Also their place settings aren't very nice, and usually they give us plastic cups with the water, so I'm thinking for the price we pay for the food and the time they make us wait, at least they should offer proper cups!
Two; a sea food place should not serve argeeleh, im sorry but there are MANY cafes that provide that and there is no need for a nice sea food restaurant, with limited seating, to serve it as well. it ruins the experience for many people, including myself.
The reason I love Sugar Daddy's so much is because everything smells and tastes home-made, like im back in my moms kitchen when shes baking!
Their cupcakes and cakes are so fluffy and the frosting is creamy but very sweet.
I have ordered many birthday cakes from there as well as cupcakes and special valentines cupcakes, and every time the designs, texture and taste never fail to be amazing.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the place is always clean.
It is a joy just walking into Sugar Daddy's!
The best cheesecake in town! My husband and I are big fans of Aunti Hanady's , we love the Browney, Oreo and ofcours the Original,
Yes they are a bit expensive but its worth it, the portions are big and very filling.
One of my favorite places! I love going there for their Sushi Buffet on Saturdays. it is one of the best Sushi restaurants in Jordan. It is not cheap, but you enjoy great food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere.
My family and I have always liked this restaurant, they have excellent mashawi (Barbecued meat ) and the prices are reasonable for this type of cuisine, but the last time I was there they had a musician singing and it was very loud and when we requested for them to turn it down a bit they refused. Also, when we first entered we asked if they had an area that was non-smoking, and they told us yes, but as we were seated the tables next to us ordered argeeleh and when we complained the restaurant then denied that they told us there was a non-smoking area, and we were then treated with an attitude and disrespect.
I will not be going there anytime soon.
