I attended the opening on Thursday. It is a nice place. The decor is nice, nice colors and decoration. Very clean. Staff is very helpful and polite. The owner is very friendly as well.
The food is nice. I've tried about 10 dishes, both international and local. Their desserts are fabulous. Try their Blue Mist and Hawana argeeleh.
We order from One's almost every day at the office so we've tried lots of things from them. Rolls, K3ak, Mana2eesh, Pizza, Calzone... They are amazing. Their pizza is the best I have had in Amman so far. They deliver very fast and only take 1JD delivery (while other shops take easily 2 to 3JD).
We ordered food from them 2-3 weeks back because we felt like having a nice healthy juice with our food.
I don't remember exactly which sandwich I ordered and which juice, but I do remember the sandwich wasn't tasty at all and instead of a nice fresh juice, it was basically juice with too much ice mixed through it, which made it taste and look like slush. An hour after the meal, I got a stomach ache and I was sick all night after it. Never again will I order from them.
I was there on the opening. I don't remember exactly all of the dishes I tasted, but one was pasta pesto. The pesto tasted real good, like real Italian pesto. I loved the sweet and sour noodles as well. The other 2 dishes I've tried were also really good. I think one was pasta alfreddo and the other one was with tomato sauce. The last one was a bit too spicy for me, but that's according to taste.
It's great to see a new, fancy, original, healthy AND affordable place in Amman.
Small stick is 2JD, big one 3JD. They have sorbet - totally vegan - and gelato that is gluten free and sugar free (sweetened with fructose).
I've tried the fig, pomegranate, melon, coffee, hazelnut-chocolate, pistachio and others... as well as the "heavenly bites" which are small icecream pearls covered with chocolate and toppings.
The staff is amazingly nice and very helpful.
My husband brought me a sandwich home from this restaurant. It didn't take him so long, so it was quiet fast. I haven't visited the place yet, but my Greek kebab sandwich was delicious. It comes in Turkish bread, with yogurt sauce. You get 150 grams of meat. For 2,50JD.
After reading reviews here, I was scared when a couple of months my husband had to undergo surgery here. But it turned out it was an excellent experience!
The hospital was fairly clean. The food was amazing. The nursing staff was so nice. They didn't bother me when I fell asleep in the couch and they didn't even charge me for sleeping over. My husband wasn't an easy patient, but they were not complaining, although they'd respond a bit less fast after he was calling them all afternoon. :)
Unfortunately this place has changed owners and its quality has dropped. Now they are a big produce restaurant just like Al Quds or Cairo Restaurant. Last time we went there for maqloobeh and it was very average. I wouldn't go back.
My sister in law eats there breakfast every day and told me several times how delicious it is. So today I decided to try it out.
I've tried sambosak la7meh, msa5en and jibna and it was sooooooooooo good. 3 pieces for 1JD.
I've taken their menu and we're gonna start ordering lunch from them. For now, I'm super satisfied. In case that would change, I'll make sure to mention it here.
This is an amazing place. I've been there now 2-3 times. The staff is über friendly! You feel like you just wanna hug them :D We had like 5 drinks for 7JD which is a bargain nowadays. It's very cozy and clean. Just go there and see for yourself!
Sometimes I go just to the mall to eat some frozen yogurt here. I always go for the plain yogurt with fresh fruits and my husband take the pomegranate yogurt. It's through that it's a bit pricey (around 8JD for 2 pers.) but once in a while I just like to indulge!
I was giving a new watch bought on MarkaVIP. It was an expensive mechanical watch. When I contacted the customer service, they asked me if I checked the batteries. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was purchased in December and I contacted them in March. I've contacted first the manufacturer who asked me to ship the item to NY, USA, but no way I wanna pay shipping to the States for a new article. When I contacted MarkaVIP they told me as the item was purchased longer than 14 days ago, there was nothing they could do. Never again will I deal with this company. This behavior is scandalous.
We've spent one night at the camp, which is actually not just a camp, but it's like several smaller camps across the desert. The place we've staid in, had a great host, Bassam. He was always cheerful and singing and we felt very welcome. The place is clean. It has a kitchen, 2 toilets and 2 showers. No Wifi though for the nerds who wanna travel to Rum. The food he prepared was delicious. We paid 40JD for a triple tent.
We've spend a night at this hotel when we went to visit Petra. It's a 10 min. walk away from the Petra site. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and quiet and you always get a good deal.
Waaaw! Mr. Krepe is just amazing. The pancakes are light and fluffy and the dough itself is not too sweet. The Nutella & White Hershey crepe is FANTASTIC! The manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable!
This is seriously the best shop in its kind in this part of town. They have a lot of stuff for renovating your home and what they don't have, they order it. Their prices are good and they are always available to help you make the best choice. The shop is run by two brothers. One of them used to live in the States and is fluent in English.
We went to Ward last month for my sister in law's birthday. I must say, the food was nice. We ordered two plates of mixed grill and mutabal. Their bread is just delicious! I think the place is nice, but for me personally it's not a place I'd go back to. The whole building is too big so they have to put the sound of the music high for it to be heard. Combine that with a lot of families and the water of the fountain and that's too much noise. It isn't cosy at all. I think it would do the trick for filling the stomach, but it's not a place to stay for more than food.
Reqaq has amazing saaj. I'm addicted to the Saaj with Nutella and bananas and Saaj with Roastbeef - and the one with French fries.
Furthermore they have the best Swiss mushroom burgers I've ever eaten!
The place is clean and the first time I've tried it, I've loved it. I prefer to eat the Ka'ak falafel. But after a couple of months of daily breakfast there I got bored by their sandwiches. It's good, but not WAW. There are better falafel places in Amman and Fou'ad in Downtown is one of them.
I've tried this place a couple of weeks ago and had their pizza alfredo. It was nice and tasty. The staff is very friendly and so are the owners. When I ate their pizza I felt full, as their slices are big, but after 2 hours I got hungry again :) I felt like going back!
Seriously the BEST burger place in Amman. They make burgers look like healthy food :D I had several burgers there, one of them was the ANGUS burger. The meat is SPECTACULAR!!! The veggies are fresh and yummy. The staff is friendly. If only there would be more place to sit down!
We've once tried out this place. We decided to go on Friday morning (around 11AM) to have breakfast there. Never again will I step inside that place. The place was DIRTY!! The floor was full with trash. Cups, Fine, cigarettes, crumbs, etc... The food wasn't tasty bil marra. They look good on picture, but that's it. The staff was really slow and spent more time talking to each other than watching over their customers. We had also the misfortune that there was a group of friends, 7 people, and they were VERY loud. We felt like being in a disco instead of having a relaxing breakfast on Friday morning.
I've tried around 8 different sandwiches from this shop. They are not "WAW" but they are fresh and cheap. It's a place I visit when I'm hungry and I want something that's not fried. If you have a big stomach, keep in mind their sandwiches are small.
