Great setting and decoration.. Tableware is lovely.. Food is delicious, menu is diverse and has some unique authentic jordanian dishes.. I loved an appetiser called debseyyeh 'دبسية' which mainly consists of lentil and aubergine I highly recommend it. Honestly everything we ordered tasted good.. It is a bit pricey but worth a visit every once in a while
Nice place and setting.. but VERY overpriced for the quality of food. Grilled salmon had a funny (horrible) taste.. chicken wrap was tasteless. No Sandwich costs less than 9++ JDs.. I think they should reconsider their prices!
Whispers remains as one of the most reputable restaurants in amman..
After a long time away, i recently visited it twice and my experience at both times was average. First time it was a family dinner, the staff were very friendly, but the food experience was bad! We ordered a platter of shrimps, tenders, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, buffalo boneless wings and potato skins on the side we ordered two salads from the salad bar. Food from the platter was ok except for chicken tenders they were very stinky! I couldn't continue eating it after the first bite! Also, as i was putting the salad i found a fly i told the waiter and he said flues get attracted to the salad bar because of the neon lights.. Wow excellent excuse. To make things worse as we were eating the salad we found a very long hair in it. So theres noway i will order a salad again!
The second time i went with a friend of mine for lunch.. Now we all know that whispers has a first come first served policy, there was a table next to the window that was empty and needed to be cleaned they asked us to sit at a table next to the entrance until they clean it. We were sitting there and got caught up with chatting when we realised they gave it to other people! We asked to talk to the manager (the guy who asked us to have a seat for a short time and the same guy who escorted the other group) he never came and kept sending waiters to ask us to wait a bit. After about a 30 minute wait (my friend is so stubborn and she insisted on having a table by the window, we finally had the chance to sit and order. I ordered grilled salmon which was exceptional and my friend orders steak which was very good as well.
I would say my experience is average and that whispers is somehow overrated..
I loved this place!! Staff are so friendly and welcoming.. Manager passed by to check if everything was fine ( in Jo this rarely happens) .. Food was very good .. I tried penne arabbiata and chicken caesar wrap.. Delicious.. I will definitely try it again :)
The service is exceptionally good.. Staff are welcoming and helpful.. Tried 3 different gyros.. Original greek, corona american and i forgot the name the third one however it consisted of chicken, mushroom, cream and cheeses. Frankly speaking, i would go back to the place to support a local venture , but not for the food.. I would have loved it if i had tasted more yogurt in the sauces and if the meat was not so chewy.. I hope they improve their recipes :)
Before you continue reading you have to keep in mind that this is a very small restaurant that offers italian food at a very good deal..
We were 4, for appetizers we ordered Bresaola, Mango Salad and mushroom Risotto .. All three were tasty specially the Risotto..
For main course all of us ordered steaks.. They were good for their price however next time i will stick to pure italian food like pasta..
For dessert we ordered 2 pieces of tiramisu and it was heavenly.. Im not usually a tiramisu fan but it is the only dessert they offer so we ordered it and it turned out great!
Anyway imagine all of this with a round of soft drinks and a round of espresso and we paid a total of 65jds including the tip..
I think in Amman that's a very good deal for italian food.. So I say we overlook the small imperfections of the place , like leaving with your hair smelling because the kitchen is open to the seating area and some small other stuff regarding the service.. Go there for casual dining and enjoy the food :)
Typical pub with typical pub ambiance.. Sliders are a must-try.. Even though i had a stomach-aching fat-and-oil-overdose from the fish and chips, i would say it tasted really good.. Next time i will definitely try something grilled though-if i happen to find anything grilled on the menu :)
Great place with nice setting and view.. Staff are friendly.. I think it's one of the hot spots in Amman now since it is always full and hence its difficult to get a reservation .. For food we wanted to go for platters but we found they're somehow overpriced so we went for a couple of appetizers instead and they came out wonderful.. We ordered crab salad which was one of the best i have ever tried, coconut shrimps which were awesome and buffalo tenders which were super as well..
Shisha was good but it's priced at 10++ jds, i think they have it at that high price so as not to turn the lounge into a regular shisha cafe but at the same time offer that option for those who like to smoke shisha..
Oh one comment though, the music being played did not match theme of the lounge, i dont think such a lounge should play arabic pop music, i believe if they want an arabic playlist they should go with classical or traditional smooth music. Also the music was so loud that at one point we felt like we were yelling to hear each other. They should truly consider that...
Putting the bad service of the restaurant aside, the food is simply scrumptious. I went a few days ago and I literally could not stop eating, everything was super delicious! We ordered pomelo salad, freekeh fukhara, manti, hummus, sheesh tawooq and shawarma.. Everything was excellent and yummy!
The restaurant is pricey so I dont recommend ordering the regular dishes, because they would add up a huge lump sum on your bill. i would rather recommend that you order their specialties :)
Good food, definitely good food ;)
When we came in the host welcomed us nicely and seated us on the ground floor, the very high ceiling didnt give us any feeling of privacy so we asked to move to the second floor, where it was much better but still had the atmosphere of an average shisha cafe and not a luxurious restaurant and pub.
Waiters are friendly but there needs to be more of them because the service was slow - i cant blame the waiters themselves cuz they were trying hard to work efficiently.
Food quality doesn't match up to the price we ordered crab salad, sliders and spinach artichoke dip. The crab in the salad was a bit stinky, the description said the salad has baby shrimps when in fact it had only one piece of normal sized shrimp, the avocado wasn't cut into the salad, instead it was sliced and placed below the salad for presentation and i didnt notice that until we were about to finish it so we didn't enjoy the avocado as much as we should have. Moving on to the sliders, the were veryyyy dry, the bread didnt look fresh because it broke easily and bread crumbs kept falling off. There was no cheese on the patty and we had to spread the mayo and ketchup, the fries on the side were not crispy and the looked oily. Finally the spinach dip, it was good, it had a large amount of cheese but I don't think it had any artichokes..
Argeeleh was good, the cinnamon and gum tobacco tasted better than in many other places in which i have tried it.
I wont mind going to Beverly's again, but only when someone else suggests it and only for drinks and shisha, not food :)
When I walked in I was impressed with the new decoration. It's very nice with beautiful colours.. But as soon as we started being served i was disappointed.. The argeeleh man had a depressed attitude, he didnt even give us a small smile.. We ordered 2 chai lattes and got two cafe lattes, but they changed the order for us.. And there was no water in the wash rooms.. We were there for 2 hours and they kept telling us they are filling the tanks.. I wonder how big of a tank it is to take more than2 hours to fill.. I hope they improve their service . :)
I remember back in uni this place was always full and crowded.. Last week my husband and I decided to go try it out again.. I made a reservation because i wanted to get a good table.. When we arrived i was shocked at how empty it was.. The host and the waiters were very friendly and our orders came quickly.. I dont know if the service is that good on busy days or if it gets busy at all .. I used to love Prego for its atmosphere and setting.. I will definitely go again :)
It'd been a while since I had gone to Maccheroni's and I was a bit hesitant to try it again after some bad reviews I heard about it and after trying a ramadani buffet there that turned out aweful at the time..
Yesterday I was at the mall and I felt like eating italian food.. As soon as we entered the place we were welcomed by smiling waiters.. The place was so empty actually there wasn't anyone but us and until we left no one else had showed up..
Anyway, the waiter got us a menu, which wS HUGE, so huge that you scan through it quickly because you're scared to hit someone or something with it.. We ordered corn soup, caesar's salad, fettuccine Fungi with chicken and Penne Pesto with chicken..
Soup and Salad were extraordinary, very good! Fettuccine came out great as well, as for my dish of pasta, i felt that it tasted more like cream than basil.. I like pesto sauce to be greenish and not so white.. Also some of the chicken pieces were a bit stinky.. Nevertheless the portions were so large that we couldnt finish any of the dishes..
When we were done, the waiter got us coffee on the house which was a nice gesture..
All in all it was a pleasant visit and I actually felt sorry that it was that empty.. I hope they do better on other days :)
Honestly I didnt like the food, i felt it was very oily and one dish had stinky chicken, corn soup was too sweet that i had to add some soya sauce and salt.. The service was good and quick. I believe the place needs some wall art because the walls look very dull and boring.
Out of the various dishes we ordered i only liked dragon chicken and Something with fish filet I guess royal fish or something like that..
I won't go there again when I crave chinese food but I might if i'm at the mall already and just want to have a bite of food :)
I tried it yesterday for the first time and i simply l.o.v.e.d it! I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger.. It was very juicy and very tasty.. Will definitely try it again :)
Just one comment though, the employees need to be better trained to help customers with their choices as they weren't very helpful with me :)
Today was the first time i try BW&R. I was very excited to try it because most of my friends recommended it, however i was very disappointed! Despite the fact that the staff are welcoming and have a smile on their face, i had the worst service ever! I was there with my husband so we were only 2 and we asked for 3 simple things:
1. To add a slice of lemon to the soft drink cup
2. To bring the boneless wings before the burgers
3. To leave out the beef bacon from the ringer burger
The waiter was writing the order without looking at the paper (so i was like wow, impressive) but then we asked him to repeat the order, he didnt know so we said it again and he did the same thing with the writing thingy (but i thought ok for sure he will get it right this time) and then unfortunately none of what we asked for was done! I mean come on!
As for the food, the wings were good and they tasted great but i thought they would be crispier. The burger was ok, i mean it was juicy and the toppings were good but i thought the patty was tasteless. Anyway all in all my experience wasnt that good and im not sure i would go there again! But good luck anyway
Juicebangbang is the only bubble tea house in Jordan and the best in the world (If you'd tried bubble tea elsewhere you would know what I mean)
They offer a wide variety of smoothies, milkies and yoghurt based drinks. The bubbles in the drink transform the normal juice drinking norm into a very fun and unique experience!
My favourites drinks are: Taro milky, Cereal Milky (with honey) and blueberry yoghurt.
You can replace the normal sugar with sugar-free sweeteners (if you're a diet freak like i am) and the milk they use is low fat. That's the best thing about the drinks at JBB: Unlike everything else that tastes good, you don't feel bad or guilty after having one of those bubble teas :)
Saturdays they offer the best waffle sandwiches ( I always like to get it for breakfast) they're stuffed with nutella, strawberries and bananas!
The cleanness of the place of excellent, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
If you haven't tried Juicebangbang yet, I recommend that you do as soon as possible cuz you're missing out on a lot!
Winners is one of my favourite places in Amman.. It's clean, the service there is friendly, and there is a wide range of entertainment options: PS3, movies and board games like pictionary and monopoly.. The place looked good before but after they've renovated it now looks Great with nice colours and wall art..
Their menu is diverse with hot drinks based on coffee or chocolate, cold drinks based on coffee, fruits, or milk. their sandwiches are mainly made of cold cuts but they have hot-dog as a hot sandwich, their french fries is really tasty with a lot of spices. They have also desserts and snacks like pop-corn and chips. Their portions and quality of food are very good, and their prices are reasonable.
They offer shisha (with common flavours like Grape, Grape with mint, Melon, Lemon mint, cherry, 2 apples and watermelon with mint) the shisha is good and again its price is good in comparison with the shisha prices in other cafes.
It is a great place to watch sport events and other TV shows because every lounge has its own TV so you don't have to worry about not seeing clearly or missing something because of bad table location.
They offer free Wi-fi.
I haven't been to a birthday there but I see a lot of people celebrating their birthdays at Winners so it seems like a good place to host birthday outings.
So again, it's one of my favourite places, I go there very often, because it is very important to me to feel comfortable at a place , and this is very unique about winners, especially for girls, that even though it has PS3 (and gaming places are known to be guys' spots) girls can go to winners comfortably and that's a reason why it has a large female fan base :)
I recommend it for everyone!
