This is my new favorite place in Jordan!!
Bunzy is extremely comfortable, a great place to hang out with friends or to get work done. They offer books, games, and even a TV to watch DVD's!
The staff is extremely nice and the food and drinks are affordable and good.
I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this place, I will definitely be back soon!
If you want to be treated like a second class citizen and don't have time to cross the Jordan River, go to Mimosa! The staff purposefully shifted our reservation from Mimosa to Flow, we know it was shifted because we called to reconfirm a few hours ahead of time. The manager basically told us that Mimosa is unofficially booked every Thursday night by the regulars. Once at Flow, the waiter came and told us that we didn't have a table reservation, and that our reservation was indeed at the bar, who reserves at a bar! Then we were moved to a table downstairs with no chairs. The waiters were confused why we wouldn't want to order food if we weren't sitting down.
After nearly an hour of playing musical chairs, the staff finally sat us at one of the 5 empty tables, these tables stayed empty for the rest of the night. Several of my friends ordered food, and for some reason the kitchen staff decided to put all of the food on 1 plate (and decided not to bring any of the sides).
Once everyone paid, the waiter decided to put the entire order on one person's credit card, even though there was piles of cash in the book. His excuse was that he didn't have change.
To be fair, once everything settled down, my friends liked their food, especially the steak sandwich. In my opinion, it isn't worth the unnecessarily headache they put us through. I've never felt so unwanted in Amman before!
I think it will be ages before the staff and management learn common courtesy, manners, and common sense. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
For the record, it was very difficult to write this review without swearing, I hope my point was delivered without these adjectives.
This is the closest thing to a dive bar in Jordan which is amazing. Also, in my opinion, they have the BEST BURGERS IN JORDAN.
With that being said, there are two fundamental flaws with the place. First of all, there is a small pool table that is in a room that is too small for it, making many shots near impossible because the table is so close to the wall. Secondly (and more importantly), they have a ridiculously strict couples only policy (unless you are friends with the staff). For some reason, they have a hard time distinguishing the difference between a reasonable and presentable person and the greased up 7afartili trash hanging out on Rainbow Street.
So if you want to go, bring a date!
Murphy's is by far one of my favorite bars in Amman!
Their happy hour prices are very reasonable, I've gone several times after a long day at work! Even after happy hour, Murphy's is a very pleasant place to go. There is live music on a weekly basis and they actually play good music; I don't think there is any other place in Amman that plays only rock (don't worry, the place isn't filled with metal heads!) The crowd is always chill and the staff are very friendly.
If you haven't been here yet, you are definitely missing out!
Before I went to the store, i went to the website to get an idea of what was in the store. I went with a good idea of what I wanted to buy; but honestly, i was very disappointed. The men's section was rather small and in disarray (this could be it was only open for a few days at this point). Most of the items I wanted to buy were not available, and the things I did find didn't look as appealing as they did on the website.
The only good thing about the place is 20JD jeans, who can beat that?!
Hopefully the next time I go the shopping experience will be more enjoyable.
I have been a big fan of Buffalo Wings and Rings since they first opened in Amman. The decor of the new location is very appropriate for the kind of place they are trying to be: American and fun. I have dined there several times and to be honest, everything on the menu is really good! They have some of the best wings in Amman, great appetizers, gyros (i recommend them to everyone, and no one is ever disappointed), and surprisingly good burgers (none of that Nabil nonsense!)
Besides the great food, another reason to go to BW&R is for the entertainment; it it without a doubt the home of NFL in Jordan (and any sport for that matter). Once they let me bring my laptop and stream a game on their TV that was only available online, this was a very nice and thoughtful gesture.
The only downside to the place is that if they are busy, sometimes the employees have a hard time keeping up. I went with several co workers once and we had to wait for almost an hour to order, and then we had to end up canceling half of the order because it took so long. Besides that, I highly recommend it to anyone that is in the mood to try something new for a change!
