I started going to Fitness One ever since it opened back in the 90's.
I started going to Fitness One Vega in the begining of May 2012 and my review on it is:
The devices and equipment they have installed are brand new and pretty amazing; they cover pretty much everything you would need in a gym.
The bathrooms are clean and dedicated people are there to keep them clean the way they always are.
The trainers are helpful and available to a certain extent.
The guys gym is seperated from the girls gym which is a big plus for me - people actually go there to work out!
They had a pre-opening offer which was pretty amazing where I subscribed for 6 months and my subscription included access to the pool and machines for 250JD's, however as far as I know, new subscription rates are much higher (around 100JD's/month) which might be a problem to some.
There is a dedicated parking area under the gym for the members which limit the hassle of finding a parking spot.
I only have two comments that I didn't really like, the first one being that the place is over-crowded at times, and the second being that I honestly expected more with all the time it took to complete and the money that was put into it!
However, all in all, I was and still am a fan of Fitness One.
Crumz Abdoun and Dabouq have pretty much the same pros and cons, however, for me, the cons are what keeps me away from that place!
The food and drinks are good, the bakery bakes exceptional sweets and bread, the seating is nice and comfy with just enough space between the tables!
Now we start with the cons, for me, such a place should not serve alcohol, I mean its a bakery!! The theme of an alcohol serving bakery does not really fit a traditional theme of a bakery. Another serious problem is the waiters, they really have a huge attitude problem! A waiter is there to take the customers orders, be helpful and serve the people, not give them attitude!!
Pricing is fair enough in that place.
So, in conclusion, i prefer going to other places due to those cons, unless they start re-thinking them! Then they would instantly get back to my preferred list.
Wazzup Dog has a very comfy atmosphere as a Hot Dog place although it could do better with a little more ventilation.
Plain and simple is how they are playing it. Very simple straight forward menu, which contains hot dogs and, well, sodas! The default hot dog comes with a big range of toppings, you can remove whatever topping you don't want. The hot dog itself is big and juicy, just the way it should be!
Pricing is very fair in that place, you would eat a couple of hotdogs and a soda for less than 5 JDs!
So, if you are going down to the first circle, you should definitely try their hot dogs!!
Well TGI Fridays, you gotta love the name! Thank God It's Friday!
TGI Fridays has a very comfy setting, with a friendly atmosphere, the waiters are generally always smiling and happy to serve you!
You have a diverse - American style - menu offering almost everything, from appetizers to sandwiches, main dishes and dessert!
I would recommend buffalo wings for starters, and I am a steak guy, so I would recommend trying the steak, cooked medium well so it is still nice and juicy from the inside, as for the dessert they have the turtle thingie, can't quite remember its name, but it is a piece of heaven! You have to try it!
The only draw back for going there is that it is located in City mall, which means you have to go through the whole process of parking in a mall and going to the restaurant, which could be quite a hassle on weekends!
Enjoy your meal :)
Chili Ways! Where can I begin?!
My journey with Chili ways started back when it was Chili House. We used to hang out in 'Nadi Al Sayyarat' back in 1998\1999 and then go there for dinner!
Chili Ways has a very friendly atmosphere, the waiters there are totally friendly and the place is almost always full with its loyal customers!
Chili Ways is one of those places where, if you are living abroad and go for a vacation in Jordan, you would definitely crave their food!
Needless to say, almost all of their sandwiches are yummy! I specially recommend the cheese coney sandwich, the H2 burger - if you don't mind the taste of canned mushrooms - and the chili cheese fries!
Parking is not a problem at all. Oh, and you get a complimentary tea or coffee after your meal!
Overall, Chili Ways is one of my favorite burger places!!
First of all let me begin by saying that I am totally addicted to Chinese food!!
That being said, let me start with my second point, which is the review:
Wox has a nice atmosphere, I love how it is not crowded yet it never feels empty.
The food, if you know how to choose Chinese dishes, is quite amazing, you have all kinds of dishes and the noodles are totally perfect, they need no adjustment whatsoever!
Parking is a hassle at times and not a problem at others (depending on the day and time you go there). Off-course there is the valet option, which is recently available at almost anywhere you go in Amman!
My only problem with Wox is consistency! Sometimes I go and whatever I order tastes amazing, other times most of the dishes would not taste as good! The portions fluctuate too! Sometimes you eat and eat and the plate never seems to finish, other times you feel as if you've only taken a couple of bites from the plate and its already finished!!
Overall, I would definitely keep going there and hope that they fix the consistency problem very soon!
I tried Cafe Burger a while back, lets see, first of all the place has a nice setting, it is cozy with a friendly atmosphere.
The burgers tasted good, not amazing, just good. Needs some work on making it tastier.
The fries (although they are normal frozen fries) tasted awful as they were not fried to a crisp, they tasted somewhat raw.
I had a vanilla milkshake which I though should taste way better!
For me, I never repeated the experience and I don't think I will as:
1- I won't go back for the taste - nothing special there.
2- It is too overpriced since I payed 10 and a half JD's for a burger, normal fries and a shake (for this price I can have an amazing burger at Fridays or Chilis).
