Overlooking the Corniche, near the Breakwater in Abu Dhabi, this heritage village is run by Emirates Heritage Club. Here you can journey to the past and experience traditional life in Abu Dhabi before oil boom altered the landscape, economically and socially here in the UAE. It has a free museum which shows you coins, weapons, fishing gear, traditional dress, it is so interesting. In addition to bedouin tents and a camel and a donkey there. There are reconstructions of palm ('arish) and other houses and weaving exhibitions. There is also a shop for local crafts, a good photographic exhibition and a unique collection of the Holy Quran. Also as it is over looks the azure sea it is a wonderful photographic opportunity to take pictures of the skyline and architecture of Abu Dhabi. This is a great place to visit and a brilliant place to take visitors.
