Dalma mall is slowly developing into one of the best malls in the city. It has cineroyal, which is the same cinema as in khalidiyah mall, and that's huge. The food court still has a ways to go, but mcdonalds and other big names are opening there soon. Many other restaurants and cafes have opened there as , well, such as shake shack, grand central, il forno, and Tim Hortons. In terms of fashion, they now have tons of stores open such as H&m and American eagle. Of course Carrefour is always a plus.
I have been to Dalma Mall twice and find it bigger than most mall in the city of Abu Dhabi. However, most of the stores are not yet opened. About, only half of the mall shops are already opened the last time i have been there (two days ago). They have carrefour, toys r us, food court, sparky's and a few other coffee shops. It sure would have been a longer stay if the stores have all been opened. Parking space is ample at all levels of the mall. What I like most about the mall is that it is not that crowded unlike malls in the city. Sales personnel are more attentive probably because there weren't much customer crowd. However though at Carrefour, when i have requested for a new stock of an item as the set on display was incomplete, the attendant initially hesitated and informed that they only have the items on display. I have insisted though the he checks as I won't buy an incomplete set, of course. Giving in to my request (which I think was just fair), he came back with a new and complete items.
I have to say, I really had my reservations about this mall, but I was so pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of it and the welcoming entrance. It's bright, it's fun and it's family friendly. When you think of musaffah, your head normally goes to factories and industrial desert zones, but it's really an up and coming neighbourhood. It's also a great escape on the crowded holiday weekends on the island, because it's so vast, so it's normally not crowded at all.
I tried the cinema there, and it really was a lovely experience, great quality, comfortable chairs, good soundsystem (it was a 3D movie tho, so it did cost more).
Other stores I saw: Carribou coffe (great anywhere!), Max & Centrepoint for cheap fashion, Lifestyle jewellery and exchange centres for convenience :)
They even have a crabtree & evelyn store (don't know where else you'd find one)
It is a lovely change to have a Mall at this end of Abu dhabi without having to travel all the way into Abu Dhabi. It has ample parking which leads straight to the Mall. The Mall inside is attractive with it's water feature and help desk at the front. It has a great range of shops from Carrefour, Matalan, Centrepoint and of course not forgetting the plush new cinema. It feels spacious and airy and is impeccably clean. Plenty of washrooms which is great if you have young children! It is a very promising Mall and I cannot wait for more shops to take over the units. It ticks all the right boxes for all our family needs.
Although being vastly over-shadowed by Marina and Abu Dhabi mall, Dalma mall is quickly gaining momentum and is rising as one of the biggest and most well stocked malls.
Tucked away behind the Mussaffah police station and Emirates Driving School, Dalma may be hidden from most shopper whose bounds are limited to the city and its direct surroundings. Although distant and a 20 minute commune from the centre of the capital, Dalma Mall is well worth the trip.
Although not completed in its entirety, Dalma still wets our lips with the luxuries that many other malls seem to fall short at. A large multi-story car park offers quick and easy access to every floor with ground parking also available. Maps are located at every entrance and toilets on every floor making the atmosphere comfortable and easy to navigate.
The sheer size of Dalma Mall is impressive, every corridor and isle seems to repeat further than they eye can see, but due to it being mostly empty at the moment the task of travelling from the top floor, if you're visiting their multi-screen cinema complex, down to the newly open and vastly stocked Carrefour only a floor below.
Dalma Mall almost feels unconventional, a Carrefour located on the first floor often makes the task of wheeling a shopping trolley down a floor seem impossible, and although there are toilets on every floor the men and women's are often located at opposite sides making travelling as a large group or family awkward and inefficient.
Of course, Dalma Mall is expected to be completed within the next year or two, so this review can be considered to be premature, but due to the rate of construction, the installation of shops and the overall rate of improvement; it isn't a stretch to say that the Dalma Mall could rival Marina, and perhaps even Dubai Mall, and is definitely worth keeping an eye on (and perhaps visiting before it gets too busy!).
This Mall is essential to this area of Abu Dhab which has been so lacking a local Mall without having to go all the way to Abu Dhabi. It is will becoming one of the most prolific shopping centre, already equipped with Carrefour, multi screen cinema. Easy parking, lots of toilets, well lit, easy to get round and spacious. It is beautifully clean and has shops that other Malls do not have.
