The dining room is modern and comfortable. The large windows give the impression you're sitting on the 30th floor overlooking Amman when in fact you're just on the 7th floor! We sat in the non smoking dining area.

The service was good and the staff attentive.

One thing that didn't really work for me was the background music. Questionable musical selection. Worse sound system. It was odd.

The wine list is short but good which suits me just great. We went with the '09 Saint George Sauvignon Blanc. It's a Jordanian winery that we enjoy. Surprisingly for a sushi restaurant, we couldn't find Sake anywhere on the menus and neither could the waiter but he assured us they had one that they serve by the carafe.

In terms of food, it was mostly great with a few slip ups. I really enjoyed the salads. The sushi and sashimi were good. The wasabi so so. The set menu included a plate of fried appetizers including mozzarella sticks which was a bit of a mystery... Why go with frozen pub food in the middle of a sushi meal?

Overall I had a great experience and I would go back again. I think they fall slightly short of where they aspire to be but they still provide decent value in a beautiful setting. Read more

The falafel there is freshly made. It's not the best you'll ever have but it's decent enough to warrant a pit stop during an airport run or on a drive south. I've tried the plain falafel and both small and large falafel sandwiches. Add some hot sauce and you're ready to go.

You'll want to stop there driving south on the airport highway. If you crave it on the drive north, you'll have to cross the pedestrian bridge to get there: it's nearly impossible to U turn these days due to all the road works.

Price wise, 10 falafel balls costs you something like 25p. If that's not good value, I don't know what is. Read more

After having been blown away by Wadi Rum during an overnight stay in a Bedouin camp, I had heard about the possibility of doing a hot air balloon flight there with the Royal Aero Sports Club of… After having been blown away by Wadi Rum during an overnight stay in a Bedouin camp, I had heard about the possibility of doing a hot air balloon flight there with the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan.

As we were planning a week end in Aqaba 2 weeks later, it was a no brainer to give this a go as a side trip.

I emailed them on Thursday morning to schedule a hot air balloon trip over Wadi Rum that week end and they were able to book us on a trip the next morning.

We met the hot air balloon captain and his team at 6:30am at Wadi Rum. After driving us to the take off site, they deployed the balloon and within 30 minutes, we were soaring high above Wadi Rum.

Captain Khaled Shishani can only be described as a complete legend and chatting with him was a great experience in itself.

Wadi Rum is one of the spots in Jordan that totally blew me away and I strongly encourage all visitors to Jordan to go experience it for themselves.

The hot air balloon flight was magical. While it is not the cheapest activity (130 JD per person) one will enjoy in Jordan, it is still high on my list of things to experience here. We are already planning to go again!
