I used Jordan Express shipping company, not because they were the most inexpensive, but because they promised me the fewest days in delivery(40) for my goods from Amman, Jordan to the Costa del Sol in Spain. The estimator arrived on time for his appraisal and also the packers were also on time. However, this is the only prompt service I received. In fact the company took a full 143 days to ship my goods to me in Spain. The fee I paid included all shipping and receiving costs. However, when my items did arrive in Spain I was forced to pay for recieving costs again at a cost of 800 JD. I repeatedly emailed Jordan Express to advocate for me with the shipping company, only to receive murky answers and no definitives. Out of desperation, I paid the receiving charges because the holding charges would have soon exceeded the receiving costs. After back and forth emails, I requested a meeting to receive a refund.
I returned to Amman in December 2011 to discuss this issue with the owner, Samir Majaj, who promised a prompt refund of the receiving and demmerage charges for a total of 962 Euro. He did not follow through with this promise. After repeated phone calls and promises of tomorrow, I have now assured them that I wll email every single person I know in Amman who may need shipping over the next year to warm them of this company.
Here is a list of their mistakes
My items remainng in Aqaba for 30 days before shipping began
My items were placed on a ship to Singapore instead of Spain; while another clients goods were sent to Spain instead of Singapore
My shipping was supposed to be fully paid and I had to pay recceiving charges in Spain
I have waited 30 days since my request for a refund and have not received it.
Please be warned about shipping your items through Jordan Express. I would not want the same thing to happen to anyone else, that happened to me.
