First of all, who serves a burrito with meat only inside and nothing on the side to go with it? So, I skipped that and went for the plain old tacos. Not a good idea either. The food wasn't disgusting of anything but in my opinion it just wasn't good either. And most certainly wasn't worth the price we payed.
I honestly hated my experience..the service was horrible and the food was just ok..infact the vegeterian quesadillas i had was too spicy for my liking. They brought the wrong order twice to my table and couldn't be bothered to apologize. Even before leaving, I had to wait about 20 minutes to get my debit card back! The restaurant is very bling, not so post recession but I guess it would be expected for a steakhouse in the DIFC. The night started by good service and we were offered the special martini of the day which a refreshing touch by waiting staff wearing 'pearls'.

The starters and main courses were overall good, nothing out of this world.The side dishes expect for the corn dish was was unusual were quite staple, the quality of the meat was very good however not matching jW steakhouse.
However the service during the meal just seemed to go down, the bubbly waitress started stressing as more tables started to come late. Our dessert order was a mess, we run out of water and had to ask for it 3 times (not so dramatic but the place is expensive) and the coffees were sent back.
The bill was an avg of 450 AED a person, with only one glass of wine consumed. Thats 90 EURO's and for me way overpriced, but its teething problems i'm sure...
Oh and paying for valet if you stay there more than 3 hours is a joke. Read more

We stopped here for dinner. I had given up on pizza in Dubai and I was sure this place will be the same as the rest.

I went for the traditional Italian pizza, the primavera pizza was amazing, I had never tried a white pizza before, means there is no red sauce, the crust was amazing.
We enjoyed it so much that we went back for more, to try the formaggi and the Gorgonzola pizza, also white, although they are more expensive, they are really nice too.
The free parking and outside terrace are an added bonus, my wife is a real pain when it comes to parking the car and not being able to smoke, so I had no problems with her for a change!!
This place is great value for money and I hope they open a branch closer to down town as we want to use the delivery service but we are too far, if anyone from mamma mia is reading this! Come on now, please open in down town, i want my pizza at home!

For the price of per-person-dining, Karachi Darbar is my first choice during the day. I love alone and have to eat out a lot. KD is cheap, has a no-nonsense service attitude and their Pakistani BBQ is pretty freakin' amazing. Read more

Yes can be a deal for business lunch you say, but if you tell me to pay 85dhs and wait more than one hour for my meal, which kind a deal is this? The service is fast, but who's preparing it do not know how to organize. I suppose to ask more of a better deal from an awarded italian restaurant. If you put on the wall frame of echivment and you do not deliver, they will only remain on the wall and nobody will care how you are.

To be the best Shawarma in town means you have to make it on a big skewer, and not on a grill plate. I understand when restaurants use grill plate because their Shawarma orders vary through out the day and they can't keep a Shawarma skewer on.
But if you are a Shawarma only specialized place, then YOU HAVE to use skewers.
Shawarmama has one skewer and mainly does most of the Shawarma orders on a grill plate not on a skewer, that's what their employee told me and what I saw from my own experience.
I'll be straight and fair. If you crave the real skewer Shawarma, this restaurant is not for you. Read more

There were no pizzas and even some of the starters like lobster carpaccio or the king crab steak salad were missing.
Once seated, fresh warm bread and breadsticks were kept at the table with 3 dips - olive paste, tomato, and olive oil. The beef carpaccio topped with thin dry cheese and lots of ?rocket leaves covered the entire plate and was a sight indeed.
The seabass mainns on a bed of potato was served hot and well presented but devoid of the taste of any seasoning. Lemon wedges and lemon butter sauce kept by the side. With a little bit of salt things were much better. The skin was crisp but didn't cut with the flesh which was soft and fresh and broke away with just a little pressure. At Dhs. 175 it was pricey.
Although I had wanted to stop, but I just couldn't go away without having their famed tiramisu. It was served in a cup and was the creamiest tiramisu I had ever had. The brown ?coffee powder coating on the top left a slight bitter taste in my mouth which leaves me to conclude that next time I should have it with coffee.
The atmosphere inside was of elegance and fine dining but the waiters were disarming and this helped me feel more relaxed.
The bill for one person including a bottle of sparkling water was around Dhs 330. Read more
