At the Scissor sisters concert we went right to the front of the stage, I asked security if I could rest my drinks the other side of the fencing and he said no but when some girl who barged her way… At the Scissor sisters concert we went right to the front of the stage, I asked security if I could rest my drinks the other side of the fencing and he said no but when some girl who barged her way to the front tried to knock my husbands camera out of his hand, constantly jabbing him in the ribs to get to the front and the guy next to her security did nothing. I have witnesses to this. When we wouldn't let her in bit my husband and left bite marks on his shoulder, he bit her 2 times. When we called security over they did nothing.

Secondly I don't understand why the VIP section is at the back of the Forum, it makes no sense at all. If you pay more money you expect to get closer to the band you have paid for not further away. Read more

I absolutely love this mall in every aspect. From the easy parking to the shops, layout and clean airy decor. You can either park outside the mall on underground and get a lift up to the shops. The… I absolutely love this mall in every aspect. From the easy parking to the shops, layout and clean airy decor. You can either park outside the mall on underground and get a lift up to the shops. The mall is spacious and well laid out so that no back tracking is required to see every store. The central lobby is light it contains and information desk, 2 storey fish tank and currently several market stalls. On the second floor there is also an area for displays and activites.
The ground floor is predominately clothing with shops such as Splash, Matalan, New look, the middle floor has a mixture of general shops, childrens clothing and electronic shops including one of only two Sharaf DG in Abu Dhabi. The first floor also accommodates the newest Lulu which is very well laid out with electronics and general supermarket providing a one stop shop.
The third floor is mainly a food hall which offers some famous named alternatives to most other malls such as Wendy's, London fish and chip shop, Hardees (which unless you go up into Abu Dhabi are so hard to find) and also has a huge Sparkies play area for the young kids. Unlike other new malls such as Dalma and the new one on Baniyas the majority of shops were occupied as soon as the mall opened., which was a refreshing change.
The only draw back at the moment are the roadworks that surround the mall making it difficult for people who need to get back off the island.
The mall is ideal for people who do not live or want to travel into the centre of Abu Dhabi. This has become our favourite mall since it has opened as it is methodically laid out, flawlessly clean and an absolute pleasure to spend time round. Read more

We booked a dhow boat trip to Mussandan with the company and had the most fantastic day. Fishing, snorkling, lovely food, constant soft drinks it was one of those days that is my 'happy place'.
We have also booked to do their National day camp on the 2nd December with camping on an island, food, fireworks and breakfast in the morning. I am looking forward to seeing what plans they have for New Years Eve too.

The… This shop is so enticing from the outside with a mixture of perfumes and watches in the window, it really draws your eye. I have bought from this shop several times now and for various reasons. The range of stock for watches it amazing, all so well laid out and lit to show the watches in their best light. Easy to see all of them and it is not cluttered. The staff are so attentive and helpful, I recently bought a watch for my son and they suggested some watches to me. I must have been in there for ages as I was offered a coffee, which was so welcomed! I thanked them for their patience with me. Once I had decided I was offered a range of wrapping paper and ribbon (I am so bad at wrapping presents) and it was all ready for the giving. I then turned my attention to perfume for me, the range of perfumes they stocked was stunning. I found some I liked and he was good enough to offer a special deal. With the cleanliness, friendliness and prices I shall be doing most of my Christmas shopping there for my family. I would recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed! Read more

The school is situated on the outskirts of Mussafah. It is a British curriculum which intakes children from kindergarten age to A level students. The staff and headmaster are incredibly friendly and… The school is situated on the outskirts of Mussafah. It is a British curriculum which intakes children from kindergarten age to A level students. The staff and headmaster are incredibly friendly and helpful and willing to talk to you about your childs progress or any problems they may be having. The school itself offers and excellent range of subjects and sports. My son turned up 3 months into his A level courses which worried the school somewhat as they use a different examining board but they strived to get him up to speed with the topics with outside tuition and he is now studying law at Birmingham University. My other two children strive in the school too and there are many nationalities that attend which has taught them so much about other cultures which has been invaluable to their outlook and understanding in life.
The school fees are one of the lowest in Abu Dhabi and they offer a bus service which collects from all over Abu Dhabi from the Corniche to the Khalifa Cities. All buses are fitted with cctv as is the school which is reassuring.
Although the school is segregated I actually think this is a good idea as it makes the students focus on their studies.
The other thing which is an asset to the school is that they have set up an on line system for parents to check what homework the children have been given and what results they have got in test (which your little darlings sometimes fail to tell you!!!!)
I know when moving to the UAE finding a school is hard work but I cannot recommend The Cambridge High School highly enough, from student welfare to results it is faultless.

From booking the tickets to checking in on line, although the only problem is that it does not remember your details on line which makes the process longer for a familyof five. Etihad have 2 luggage drop off points in Abu Dhabi, one new one at the ADNEC and one in the tourist club centre area of Abu Dhabi taking the strain out of queuing the check your lugage in. On the flights you are well catered for with a list of up to date movies and music and a constant relay of beverages. Plus you are not hassled like othe airlinestobuy duty free goods like other airlines. The food as a whole has been to an excellent standard. If you are a regular traveller it is worth getting an Etihad guest card to earn points on your journeys and if you combine that with an ADCB above credit card you can quickly build up points to purchase flights,upgrades or gifts. Always found the staff to be very helpful and have gone out of their way to arrange seating together if the flight seating is already full. I would choose Etihad every time. Read more

When I got home I noticed the soap had gone soft and I put it in the fridge. My son used a bar of soap a few hours later and it turned in to a gooey mess and it is now on his soap dish and he dips his scrub pad in it when he has a shower. I also found tonight that I went to use a really expensive bar of soap it just disintegrated on my body and I only managed the one shower out of it which for the price was really disappointing as it is not cheap. The hand lotion which is very natural and has a nice sticker on the side of the persons face who made it just smells strongly of lanolin. Even putting the soap in the fridge does not stop it disintegrating which is such a shame. Read more

The jewels go from the sublime to the ridiculous from jewelry you would wear every day to heavy gold belts. It is like being a child in a sweet shop going round here. Always be prepared to haggle though and now Abu Dhabi has it's new AD sign of approval which means all weighing scales must be calibrated it makes it easier to know that you are not being taken for a ride. Always but from a shop that has the AD sign of approval. This gold souq never fails to have the wow factor and is a brilliant place to take visitors. Read more
