The US embassy is well organized and has an acceptable wait time in lines though they could do with improved shading.

When you go there with an application make sure you have filled it completely as the receptionist offices outside tend to be picky about details that on the application may have a box that says unknown. And is your application is deemed to need "adjustment" they would give you an hour to do it and return which if you do not have a smart phone with internet data plan could be a sticky situation and an expensive one.

Beware when you ask about where you could do the adjustment of the "adjustment offices aroudn the embassy, they will you rip you off for just putting in you preparatory school info or your Grandma age and charge you 15 JOD for 5 minutes to open you application and put in the info; something you could do in two minutes with internet access. The one in the photo down the road from the embassy entrance charged me 15 JOD for putting in my prep school info. They charge 25 JOD for a full application which may be acceptable considering it takes about 60-90 minutes to fill out the app completely and 15 JOD for any adjustments regardless of extent and beware they have the prices on a small sign on one of the computer desk sides and if you ask about the price they will go "do not worry about that; leave it on us or lets just do it for you first or the sort"

Best thing is to be prepared with a smart phone to make the adjustment or locate an internet cafe close to the embassy in the close by restaurant area and make the small adjustment yourself. Better yet make sure the app is complete even with info you may think is trivial and unnecessary as the folks at the reception only look at the completeness of spaces filled in app without any assessemnt for the need for the info in your situation.

دخلتها مرة وحده بحياتي ، تعامل رائع ، وتفتيش دقيق كتير ،بياخدو كل شي منك ما عدا الورق إلي معك ، وبشوشين البشتغلو فيها ، ال كل بضحك :) ، وبتذكر لما اعطني جواب الهجرة كان بضحك ومبسوط ، يا 3 هداك اليوم كان أحلى يوم بحياتي ، وجاد i love it :) إذا بدكم تروح عليها جاد ما تخافو ، بل عكس تجربيه حلوه :) وكبيرة كتير السفارة ، وفي مكان تصف السيارة، وتعاملهم راقي جداً .وموقعها مميز . وفيها أكتر من مبنه ،good luck to every body ...

Its one of the best embassies in Amman. Services are very organized. People there are very respectful. I would say they treat Arabs better than some Arab embassies.

Make sure you have all your papers before you go and dont trust what your friends tell you. Just go on their site and follow instructions. Be there as early as 8am and you'll be done in less than an hour.

They have coffee and water inside, so that really helps with the wait :)

معامله راقيه.. شغلة التفتيش مبالغ فيها شوي.. بس اشي طبيعي.. المعامله بالداخل منيحة في قاعات واسعة للمراجعين.. وبقدم مشروبات وقهوه بالداخل لأنو على أغلب الواحد بضل أكثر من ساعتين أي ثلاث لا ييجي دور للمقابلة..
