Umami Asian Fusion

well a friend of mine recommended this restaurant i went there with my friends the decoration is great .. the guys were helpful but the food i didn't like it that much i guess am not an Asian food person :/ and it was so freakin expensive :S am not going there again i don't think so

القعدة حلوة بس الاكل مش كثير

رحت عليه مع جيران،

دوقونا كتير أكلات، ودقت منهم كلهم، زملائي حاطين ليست فيهم كلهم، بس أنا رح أكتب بس اللي حبيتهم.

أول شي السلطات، حبيت منهم سلطة أومامي كانت اكتر وحدة مقبولة.

وبعدين الاباتايزرز، حبيت منهم السبرينج رولز مع انهم كانوا كتير كبار بس كانوا طيبين. وكمان الدجاج مع الخس، وفول الصويا.

ومن المين ديشز، حبيت اكتر شي الكريسبي بيف والدجاج مع العسل.

ومن الحلويات حبيتهم كلهم، الموز المقلي خصوصا لانه ما كان حلو وكيكة التمر بالشاي الأخضر كمان.

الإشي الغالب على الاكل انه حلو اكتر من مالح. بس مقارنة بأكل المطاعم الآسيوية التانية، ما كانت تجربة الأكل كتير موفقة. الأكل جيد جداً وبتاكل بس مش أكل صيني، ياباني، تايلندي ولا هندي.

عندهم تيبانياكي وسوشي بار.

بالنسة لنظافة الطعام والمطعم، كل اشي كان نظيف. ومرتب جداً

الديكور كتير عجبني، والإضاءة رومنسية.

عند فاليه وصعب جدا الواحد يصف لحاله. بس موقع المحل كتير حلو بشارع مكة.

شفت عنده كراسي أطفال.

عنده تواليت واحد بس للرجال وتواليت واحد بس للسيدات لكل المحل.

بنصح الناس يروحوا عليه لانه قعدته حلوة، بس بصراحة في محلات كتير أكلهم أطيب منه.

مطعم يستحق التجربه ،،،، راح أحكي عن الديكور أول شي ، لأنو جميل جداً ، ومريح وهادي ورايئ كتير ، وبعطي كل طاوله خصوصيه بطريقة حلوه ، والإضاءه كتير هديه ومريحه ، ومعظم الديكور من الخشب ، من ناحية الخدمه رائعة و الموظفين خدومين كتير وبشوشين ، يعني 5 stars بعطيهم ... أما من ناحية النضافه 10/10 ...كل شي مرتب ونضيف ....

الأكل رائع ... يعني ستمتعت بكل شي أكلتو ...وكل طبق كان مميز كتير ... وكل شي fresh هدا شي جد رائع فيهم و فيكم تحكو أكلو مو تئيل عل معده مريح يعني 9/10 ... وما في شي كان مو طازة و الحلو طيب عندهم ... يعني للي بحب الأكل الأسيوي هدا ماكن مناسب جداً ، أكيد بنصح فيو ، ومناسب للكل عائلات و مجموعات ، و لصفه ما بتتغلبو ، تجربه موفقة كانت وأكيد راح أرجع عليه

Umami is the best place for Asian food lovers... the place is so cozy , and the decoration is very well done, the atmosphere is very asian .. the service is fast , and the staff are nice , they give you full explaination about every dish you order. I tried the Umami Salad which is very delicious and healthy ... if you are a big fan of hot salads then you must go for the Wasabi Salad.

The spring rolls were and the sweet & sour chicken were perfectly done ... I loved the Mongolian beef , very fresh and delicious.

I also recommend trying Umami's special dessert (Green tea, Date and Banana cake) served with ice cream ... its YUMMY ...

I liked the idea that you can create your dish by choosing your meat and sauce

The prices are reasonable comparing to the service and quality of food.

أما المعاملة ، لا جد كلهم راااااااااااااائعين

والأكل أنا مو كلو جربتو .. بس جربت تشيكن بولز وكانت مش بطالة برضو لاني مابحب السوس الحلو وكمان الدجاج كتير طري

دقت الفريد ونتن .. بيشبه السمبوسك وكان زاكي واللاتس وراب كمان زاكي وغريب شوي

بس في اكلتين حبيتهم هما سويت اند سور تشكين والتانية هني تشيكن مع سمسم والرز معهم كان فيجيتابل فريد رايز

أغلب الأكل فيو سمسم وبصل

أما الزاكي كان موز مقلي وطبعا ماعجبني وكيكة التمر وشاي أخضر مع آيس كريم جد كانت بتشهييييي وتقديها حلو كمان

بصراحة المطعم لايعلى عليه من خدمتو ونضافتو واهتمامو بالزباين

انبسطت مع الفريق كتير ولعبنا بينجو وحكينا وضحكنا كتير ♥

المطعم بصراحة رائع وديكوره اروع ومرتب ويكفي تعامل الموظفين الجميل والممتاز

ترتيب الطاولات ممتاز ومريح والكراسي ايضا مريحة جدا

النضافة واضحة والتعامل رائع وسرعة في تقديم الطلب

بخصوص الاكل فحدث ولاحرج فتنوع الوجبات والاكل جعلك محتار ماذا تاكل والطعم رائع وطيب بس طبعا مو كل الانواع من وجهة نظري

عصير الليمون والمشروبات الاخرى كانت طيبة المذاق صدقا

بخصوص الاسعار فهناك تفاوت بالاسعر وتبدا من 3.75 لغاية 9 دنانير

المشكلة انا صدقا ما حفظت اسم الاكل يللي اكلتو بس بعرف انو جاج

صدقا مطعم نضيف ويستحق الزيارة بس عيبه انو في منطقة خاصة بالتدخين وكان التدخين مسموح

My worst experience in any resturant in term food only to be honest... I read many good reviews in Jeeran, so we went as a group of 3, we ordered 3 types of soap, spring rolls , mangolian beef, singoporian noodles, risto rice and another 2 dishes , only one bite of each plate was more than enough to know that food is too bad and the same feedback from my friends.

Prices are high, great decoration and very clean and staff are friendly

Green Papaya Salad كانت زاكية كتير بس مليانة بصل وبيحرق

Wasabi Salad ما دقتها بس شكلها بشهي

بعدين ما يسمى ب Small Eats وكنت خايف ليكون اشياء صغيرة ما بتتاكل وطلعو

Edamame ايدامامي وهي حبات فول صويا مسلوقة ومملحة

Vegetable Spring Rolls سبرينج رولز بالخضار كبيرة الحجم ولذيذة بس كتير كانت سخنة ههههههههه

Chicken Balls كرات الدجاج المقلية

Fried Wantons عجين محشي بالدجاج ومقلي مش كتير حبيتو

Lettuce Wraps وهو طبق من الخس الطازج مع الدجاج المقطع مع البصل والفطر روعة بجد

Sesame Prawn Toast كرات من الجمبري المطحون المقلي المغلفة بالسمسم مع الصوص

والطبق الرئيسي كان

Vegetable Fried Rice ارز بالخضار مش بطال

Wok fried Noodles مادقتها لكن كان واضح انها مليانة بنكهة الثوم

Crispy Honey Chicken زاكية كتير كتير

Crispy Beef طبق خيالي وبيقرش كتيييير وما بتشبع منو

Chicken Shiitake Mushroom زاكي بجد بس مش شي جديد

Mongolian beef طبق خرافي بجد والنكة لاتوصف

الحلو كان

Green Tea, Date and Banana Cake كيكة الموز والتمر بالشاي الاخضر مع الآيس كريم بطعم جوز الهند ومحاط بالتوفي صوص خياااااااااااااااااال لا يوصف

وكمان Banana Fritters and Vanilla Ice Cream موز مقلي مع الايس كريم بس ما حدا حبو ويمكن ما حدا داقو غير

الموظفين جميعا من المدير الى المطبخ كلهم خدومين وحبابين ومتدربين بشكل ممتاز

طبعا احكي عن النافة والمتابعة والخدمة ولا حرج بجد خدمتهم رائعة

Craving Asian? Don't know whether to eat Chinese, Japanese or Thai? well, Umami has the answer, a unique restaurant with its fusion concept, with a menu that contains mouthwatering dishes that ranges from ordinary (Chinese, Thai or Japanese) dishes in addition to Umami’s fusion dishes, a fusion of Asia's best tastes on a plate, I went there with a group of fellow Jeeran yesterday, it's kind of hard to find a parking spot however you can use the valet service, as the door opens you'll warmly be welcomed by the professional staff , and you won't be able to take off your eyes from the nice interior design, the decoration is also a fusion!, the space is sectioned with wooden partitions that gives you some sort of privacy. First we had a wide collection of appetizers which I personally thought that it was the main course!, soybeans, spring rolls, crispy chicken balls, salads and more, it’s really hard to remember the names of dish cause it’s a fusion!, for example one of the salads was a fusion of coleslaw with shrimps and wasabi!, and they have lettuce wraps which I totally recommend . Then came the main dish we had veggie steamed rice, Umami fried noodles along with other main dishes such as Mongolian Beef, Crispy Beef, and Crispy Chicken, regardless the fact that I was almost full from the appetizers I couldn’t resist the Main Course! “I wonder why I’m not losing weight”, then came the desserts and they were really delicious. If you eat at Umami you’ll notice that they add sesame to almost everything “obviously it’s their Signature Ingredient”. I have one note that many of the dishes I've had yesterday had nuts as an ingredient like Peanuts which was grind, and since some people are allergic to nuts it should be indicated that “This Dish Includes Nuts” cause the last thing you want to see is a severe allergic reaction at a restaurant. My overall experience is enjoyable, and if you Asian food lover and into experiencing new tastes, then Umami is the place to go.

للمرة التانية رح اكتب عن هاد المطعم لعدة اسباب واهمها انو مبارح أُتيحت الفرصة لحتى أتذوق أصناف جديدة مع جروب جيران .. البداية كانت مع أطباق الـ (Small Eats) ستارتر مكون من 6 أطباق خفيفة الدم

أولا:

(Edamame) وهو عبارة عن حبات فول الصويا مسلوقة بقشرها ومملحة ..

ثانيا:

(Vegetable Spring Rolls) رهيبة وبحجم كبير وعريض وسماكة مقدمة مع الماسترد الياباني الخطير ...

ثالثا:

(Chichen Balls) الطبق الشهير وبميزة الطراوة والنكهات المعتدلة ..

رابعا:

(Fried Wontons) رقائق من العجين محشوة بالدجاج وملفوفة ومقلية ..

خامسا:

(Lettuce Wraps) وهوي طبق يُقدم بحيث كل ضيف بلف قطعة الخس بنفسه بالدجاج المفروم مع البصل المكرمل وهاد اروع مذاق من بين كل الاطباق !! ..

سادسا:

(Sesame Prawn Toast) كرات من لحم الجمبري المقرمشة مغلفة بالسمسم ومقدمة مع صوص صويا الزنجبيل الحاد ...

بتزامن مع كل ما سبق قدمولنا السلطات كانت عبارة عن 3 اصناف وهي:

1. (Wasabi Salad) 2.(Green Papaya Salad) 3. (Umami Salad) والاخيرة هي الأروع ..

بينما الـ (Main Course) كان 6 اصناف

أولا:

(Vegetable Fried Rice)

ثانيا :

(Wok fried Noodles) عظيم بنكهة الثوم

ثالثا:

(Crispy Honey Chicken) طبق خرافي

رابعا:

(Crispy Beef)بيقرش كتيييير

خامسا:

الحلو الخرافي كان كيكة التمر بالشاي الاخضر مقدمة مع الآيس كريم وصوص التوفي ...بانانا فريترز بس مو طيبة

طبعا ديكور المكان مصمم بطريقة يعطي خصوصية لكل طاولة وما في مجال ابدا للضجة .. مدير المطعم شخص اجتماعي محبوب واحتكاكه بالزباين بطريقة عفوية و محببة

شيفهم الرائع وليد بالاضافة الى انو صمم المنيو الغنية كمان بيعمل عرض تبنياكي جميل جدا ..بنصح الكل يجرب التبنياكي بالزات لانو ممتع جدا

When I got an invite to dine at the Umami restaurant I got super excited as I've been hearing all sorts of praise for it from my friends and family...I was actually too excited that I got there before anyone else!

once I went through the door I was welcomed by a very nice lady who showed me my seat and asked if i need anything before people arrive...the place itself felt comfy and warm with brilliant interiors. every plate served had a special taste of its own, Like a carnival of tastes and colors, But I will list the most memorable one according to my taste: -The salad with wasabi dressing, The shrimps balls, the dumplings, the chicken w/ mushroom and the brilliantly cooked vegetable rice.

Juices are freshly made to complement the great tastes of dishes.

their table arrangement allows for both big gatherings 15 people + and intimate go-outs for two. whether it is a corporate gathering, a family go out or a date, This place will be suitable.

The staff is well trained, super polite and helpful. I can easily state they are among the best I have seen in Jordan. I would certainly go there over and over again. and I would recommend it highly.

كانت تجربة عائلية مميزة من حيث الأجواء والديكورات ومستوى النظافة والأطباق الشهية المتميزة، إلا أن موظفات الخدمة في المطعم ينبغي لهن أن يحصلن على دورات مكثفة في فنون الضيافة لأن "الكشرة" التي ترتسم على وجوههن تنزع حلاوة الجلسة ويخلق صعوبة في الحصول على أفضل الخدمات.

المطعم جيد والأكل جيد ولكن الموظفين ليسوا على قدر تلك الجودة، قد تكون هذه التجربة شخصية ولكنها خلقت انطباعات سيئة، وأنصح جميع زوار المطعم بدفع "التيب" مسبقا حتى يحظوا على الخدمة المطلوبة.

بصدق مطعم آسيوي متكامل من ناحية اصناف وتنويع الأطباق الآسيوية بلإضافة للديكورات ذات الطابع الآسيوي الخدمة رائعة بهذا المطعم جميع أطباق الطعام لذيذة الا بعض الأطباق التي انا بالاساس لا احبها الأسعار مقبولة المطعم لا يحتاج المزيد من الوصف لانه يستحق الزيارة وسيحبه عشاق الأكل الآسيوي

Yesterday was the first time I try this place, decoration is very stylish and unique, staff and super friendly and always there to help.

We ordered chicken corn soup which really tastes good, we had spring rolls , chicken balls as appetizers , and chicken noodles and sweet & sour chicken as main courses.

I can say that it's one of the best Asian restaurants in town.

Price is a bit high but trust me it's worth it as you will get a high quality of food

They have a valet service.

Will diffidently come back again .

Fried rice is good, I liked the shrimp fried rice specifically. Noodles where okay. Chicken cashew & sweet and sower are good. Overall the food was better this time (for all of those who read my first review).

The service was good, waiters where very nice.

Again the decoration/environment is great.

Prices are on the higher end of Average, in other words (bidoon falsafeh): Average prices.

I saw a sushi bar, they said they were going to open it soon, something I'd like to try next time.

Again, great for dinners and dates.

PS. don't forget about the card point rewards system (eat group), I got it, it should be useful.

This is an excellent place! I went with a group of friends to have dinner there and I have to say, I loved every detail about the place.

We were seated in some sort of a private section, with a gazebo above our heads! Setting and decorations are very nice and authentic, the service was amazing; waiters were professional and friendly.

As for the food, I loved absolutely every dish, and we tried many dishes! I would specifically mention the soft shell crabs.

I tried their fresh pineapple juice and loved it, and if you want my advice for desert, go ahead with the nutella wontons, they are to die for.

رائع المكان بكل تفاصيله ..الديكور عالم تاااااااااااااني والاضواء الخافتة والخدمة السريعة والأكل لايعلى عليه ابدا..ما اكلت صيني بعمان اطيب منو... كانو عاملين عرض خصم على اي فاتورة 12 دينار ومنحوني بطاقة ولاء خصم 5% بشكل دائم عندهم... طلبنا( Umami Crispy Honey Chicken ) روعة مقرمش وطلبنا( Cashew Nut Chicken ) زاكية جدا وطلبنا (Lo Mein) عبارة عن إج نودلز مقلي مع خضار ومشروم وبصل مكرمل ومقرمش وطلبنا (Mongolian Beef) وكمان طلبنا ميني برغر مشوية على الفحم مع صلصة آسيوية فريدة المذاق... عندهم كل يوم تلاتاء عرض حي للتبنياكي رح اجربه لازم ..الشيف وليد اشهر من ان يعرف هوي الـ (Executive Chef) كنا تلاتة بنات مع طفلة زغير ة وكلنا شعرنا بالرضا ومصممين نروح على المطعم دايما..حتى الطفلة اللي كانت معنا صاحبوها الجراسين وعاملوها بكل ود... أما الحلو الخرافي اللي اكلته كان عبراة عن كيكة التمر بالشاي الاخضر...روحو بسرعة وجربوها وادعولي

The food is nothing special, however you could tell it is better quality kind of.

Main dish portions are bad. Very small portions for main dishes, they should call it a half-order. The correct amount should be about double what they put, 50% more would be okay. That makes it closer to the expensive end of average.

That is, 1 main dish is not expensive, but to fill up you need about 2 or a little less; you end up paying a lot more than expected. Bottom line, bad portions.

Appetizers are okay/good. relatively cheap in comparison to other Chinese restaurants.

relatively fast!

I wont go there again unless I'm going more for the ambiance (atmosphere/ga3deh) rather than the food.

ie. date...etc.

If you're going for the food; not the Chinese cuisine you're looking for.

جربته برمضان. كان عندهم نظام انو الكل بينزلو نفس الاطباق المختارة مسبقا لليوم... الصدفة انو المقبلات اللي نزلوها انا اصلا ما بحبها! الاطباق الرئيسية كانت زاكية والحلويات ماشي حالها. الديكور رائع! والخدمة أروع! السعر للشخص كان 22 على ما أذكر. أعتقد انو خيار غير موفق انك تروح برمضان وتاكل الاكل اللي همه محددينه. يمكن لو اني رحت بيوم عادي كان احسن. فيه مكان مخصص للاطفال. وفيه خدمة اصطفاف. النظافة واضحة. أنصح بتجربته بس مش برمضان.
