The Bake House

رحت عليه مع زوجي وبنتي، وطلبنا أومليت مع هاش براونز ونقانق وستفد فرنش توست وبان كيكس.

بشكل عام كتير طيبين ما في عليهم كلام. لكن الأسعار كتير غالية على الوجبة المقدمة.

من ناحية النظافة المطعم نظيف، بس التواليت ممكن يجددوه عشان يصير احسن من هيك.

المحل كان فاضي تماما لما رحنا في ظهر يوم من ايام الاسبوع وما طولوا كتير لما جابوا الاكل، تقريبا 10 دقايق.

جودة الأكل منيحة كتير. بس حسيت البانكيك عجينة جاهزة مو اشي همه بعملوه.

بنصح الناس اللي بتحب الفطور الأمريكي تروح عليه. بس اذا الواحد بعرف يعمل اومليت ببيته كتير أرخصله :)

I only ate at bake house twice in my life, and I had pretty good reason why. The first time we went as a group of 4, and we ordered two Nutella pancakes and two Spanish omelets with hash browns. While eating, one of us found a hair in their food and told the staff and they changed it, my brother and I thought it was a one time mistake so we decided to go again, we both ordered Spanish omelets with hash browns and my brother, again found a hair in his food. From then on I've never went there again.

After reading most of the reviews I see that there are mixed opinions, So here is mine;

As a person who grew up on american breakfasts, I believe the food they serve is not far behind, it is delicious, well prepared and beautifully presented. but the portions are a bit awkward; for instance, the pancakes & waffles are huge, and the sausages and hash brows are tiny! so if a grown man were to eat there he would have to order multiple dishes to fill up.

The price is a bit above average but its still not bad.

The atmosphere is perfect for breakfast, and how crowded it is depends on the time you go. if you go on a Friday or Saturday it will be extremely crowded and possibly the service a bit slower than usual, but if you go on a weekday, it is more likely to be less of a crowed and quicker service.

One thing that always gets me when I go there is the coffee, they sure do know how to make a good cup of coffee :)

I just love this place.. best memories happened there!!it is very yummy .. verrrryyy friendly staff just like a family and the food is verryy freshhh its a must to try specially on fridays!

If you really had American breakfast, and you're craving it, this definitely would NOT satisfy your cravings.

Let me sum it up:

Omelet: I can do way better. Too dry, small and lacks flavor. (Cheddar cheese is not cheddar - who are you kidding?)

Pancakes: Anybody can open the ready mix box, mix it and make your own pancakes for cheaper at home! (tastes just like the ready mix pancakes)

coffee: it was okay, I can't really judge because I forgot to sip before adding coffee mate (they do not have cream, just milk and coffee mate)

Cleanliness, Sameer said it before me, the place looks ugly. I can't get over the green. The seating and environment is not cozy.

Waiters are not really fast but they're friendly.

From what I saw, they didn't have an option between what kind of toast you want, or if you want biscuits. Also, I didn't see any french toast, I don't think they have it.

I was expecting more from this place , but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations ..

Let's start with the place itself and the decorations .. I can say it's ugly (After thinking , b/c I don't wanna sound rude) Sorry But Yes Ugly ,the place is COLD in winter Freezing , going to the next stage food the Omelet is good not wow but good the sausages are bad! , the waffles :( i ordered waffle with Nutella and Strawberry and what i got was a plain waffle O.o I had to ask for the nutella and strawberry , i got them in a plastic container and i had to put it on my waffle (REALLY REALLY BAD) Ruined the whole meal ...

Good things:

1+ Omelet is kinda good ( 7/10)

2+ I guess there is nothing i can add here so only 1 positive things

Bad things:

1- Ugly place , ( you just wanna finish to leave)

2- No heating system

3- 2nd floor No smoking signs everywhere and ppl are smoking everywhere

4- My order was bad , as I said i ordered a waffle with strawberry and nutella and I got a plain waffle then when i asked for the toppings i got them in a plastic containers (take away containers) , the waiter didn't even bother himself to take my order back to the kitchen and add toppings !! (VERY DISAPPOINTED)

May be it was just a bad luck but my experience was below average much below average ..

I've tried plenty of breakfast places in Amman, but honestly this place is my favorite. Great food, great service, great prices (also to all you coffee lovers, they've got amazing American coffee).

One of my favorite things about this place is that you can order certain meals as "half orders" (so instead of getting the whole meal, you get half of it).

Might get crowded on Friday and Saturday mornings, so there's a chance you'll be waiting for a short while to get a table, but it's totally worth it!

This place is amazing especially for people who like american and British breakfast. It''s location is very special because it is in old amman. It's food is really delicious especially the Omelet and Pancake. It's decoration not bery attractive but in general it is a nice place

when you think about having breakfast on Friday in Amman the 1st place u will think about is theis place... the service there is good the food is really good... their location is ok but we always face problem with parkings... it's a busy area... u know what i have to go to eat there ASAP

المكان معروف أكيد..

نظيف مرتب.. وأكله جد لزيـــز بكل معنى الكلمة إزا بتحبو الإفطار الأمريكي

جربت الإفطار عندو وطلبت حتى طلبين .. الأول ووفل الموز والفراولة.. والتاني سوبر سوبريم..

وكانوا أشهى من بعض..

الديكور ما اشبوا شي .. يعني عادي مريح

بس على وقت يلي رحت فيه ماكان في موسيقى و حتى الشاشات كانو حاطين الجزيرة الرياضية فما قدرت أحكم على هالصفة من مرة وحدة

غير بس عالأكل والنظافة والجو العام حلو

من افضل الاماكن في عمان عاصرته منذ البدايات و جربت فيه تقريباً كل المنيو ، الديكورات رائعة و جوه كتير حلو ، القعدة راقية جداً ، لا يقدم مشروبات روحية ، يوجد به اماكن مخصصة للمدخنين ، اسعاره عادية جداً ، خدمة الزبائن راقية و لكن تجهيز الوجبات يأخذ بعض الوقت لانهم يقدمون الطعام طازجا ،موقعه قريب جدا على موقف سيارات الرينبو لهذا فان الاصطفاف سهل جداً

We've once tried out this place. We decided to go on Friday morning (around 11AM) to have breakfast there. Never again will I step inside that place. The place was DIRTY!! The floor was full with trash. Cups, Fine, cigarettes, crumbs, etc... The food wasn't tasty bil marra. They look good on picture, but that's it. The staff was really slow and spent more time talking to each other than watching over their customers. We had also the misfortune that there was a group of friends, 7 people, and they were VERY loud. We felt like being in a disco instead of having a relaxing breakfast on Friday morning.

جربت عندهم الوافل و صراحة كان كتير زاكي و المحل و الاكل نظيف و الخدمة ممتازة - انو ما بتلحق تطلب الشي بكونو جابولك اياه عطول و هاد شي مريح و سعره متوسط مو غالي ولا رخيص بس اكله بيستاهل بس شوي عجقة المكان بجوز لانو مكان مرتب حسب ما شفت .

The best place for having breakfast, I love their omlettes and pancakes as well as their mushroom and cheese sandwich, the place is very clean and prices comparing with the quality and quantity are realy fair...

The only place the provides the best pan cakes and the prices are amazingly cheap ! I enjoy how great is the atmosphere there

المحل مرتب ونظيف، طابقين السفلي منهم صغير والعلوي اكبر. يكون احيانا ممتلا. الاكل مميز. شخصيا اكلت اومليت بالدجاج والجبنة مع خبز التوست. صراحة كان شهي جدا جدا! الوافل كمان شهي خصوصا مع الفراولة والكريمة. السعر للاومليت اللي طلبته مع الخبز و علبة مربى صغيرة و شاي (او قهوة اذا بدك) هو 5.5 دينار. انصح به بشدة

it is part of our Friday ritual here in Jordan! we usually go there twice a month to enjoy tier omelets and pan cakes with a cup of coffee. good food for a good price. i think they need to improve their service a little bit since they are becoming slow and they need to renovate the Jabal Amman branch.

اليوم كنت فيه،،،،زاكي كتير خاصة السبانش اوملت.....بس ما بشبع شب ابدا!!!!!!!!!!!!والسعر بتقدر تقول لوجبة متوسط او مرتفع والحلو فيه انك بتاكل اكل نظيف زي اكل البيت

البيك هاوس غني عن التعريف، من المطاعم المفضلة لدي، الي الكثير من الزكرايات من ايام المدرسة و مع اصحابي و الاهل.

الاكل عندو كتيير طيب، بقدم الوافلز و البان كيك و الاوملت و الكثير من الاطباق.

المحل كتير نظيف و مرتب، و الخدمة عنده ممتازة و متوسطة السرعة، عندو قعدة داخلية في الطابقين، و بالصيف مرات بكون في قعدة خارجية.

اسعارة متوسطة، الصفة عنده صعبة.

بنصح الكل يجربه :)

The Bake House is a casual restaurant specializing in western style breakfast (Pancakes, sausages, eggs, etc.) & sandwiches.

*Location: From 1st circle drive down rainbow st. Take the 3rd right. Take the 1st right and The Bake House will be on your left hand side.

*Features: Alcohol Free Environment, Breakfast Served, Friday Brunch, Sports on TVs.

*Price Range: Breakfast 2-7 JD, Lunch 2-3 JD, Kids Meals 2.8 JD

*The menu: My favorites are the pancakes (2JD for 1 Large, 4 JD for 2 Large, and 1 JD extra for “fruit and cream”) and the Bake House Scramble (4.2 JD – eggs scrambled with mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese). The “fruit” actually appears to be blueberry pie filling but is quite tasty and, although it comes in a small bowl – it seems to do the job. The Scramble is really delicious – everybody that I know who’s had it swears by it.

*Service: Service is always friendly and professional. One of the waiters remembers my name now, which is kind of nice. The speed of service, is, well. No better or worse than any other experiences I’ve had in Amman, but perhaps a bit slower.

*Setting: its clean and tidy. From time to time you’ll get a table that still needs to be wiped off but this usually happens when the place is packed. The decor is okay, its not fancy and i guess they need to work on improving it.

In summary, if you are a fan of American-style breakfast the Bake House is a gem that cannot be missed in Jabal Amman.
