O Six Gastro Lounge

Very nice place, amazing view! The seating area in the summer is outside and overlooking Amman. Is great for a summer drink at night .

I haven't tried the food, but the drinks are good and reasonably priced, cheaper than other similar places.

This place is located in a small hotel, and it's on the top roof so it comes with a view.

The steak I ordered was good, cooked exactly the way I order it, a bit cold though but that didn't stop me. The "steak dips" were average nothing special, I order it with a mashed potato side , which I don't think they make it from scratch, regardless it tasted average.

Price for steak was 16 before tax, which was fair to the quality of the product.

Overall, nice view, good steak, not so great music and a bit too dark.

Apart from the ideal seating, view and ambiance offered at O Six, I have found what I have been looking for! The Best - and I am not underplaying it, so I will say it again THE BEST - STEAK in town!

I ordered it medium rare, a not so easy way to serve/make the meat, it was my first time ordering it there and to my surprise, it was the best I have had in a long, long time!

Not only was the meat (I think it was Angus) the right color and the redness of the meat flowed poetically from the center of the meat to the more crispier/grilled part; there was not a single drop of red/blood juices oozing out! The only juices were the ones flowing from the grilled portion (outer layer) of the meat, making the meal sumptuous!

The portion was Fantastic!! Served on a unique looking platter (I am guessing custom-made, as it might have been a hotplate to keep the steak warm). Along with that, they offered, not one, not two, but three different sauces! (on that note, I have not seen, nor tried Hollandaise sauce in a while, I am guessing the chefs in Amman are not aware of the basic sauces you can maneuverto create a master piece. the chef at O Six, must be an artist for daring and succeeding!)

The side dish was mouth watering (grilled Aubergines/Egg plants, zucchinis, broccoli and carrots).

As a whole, the experience was beautiful, the service was good (apart from when they are super busy, they tend to be all around the place), the music is nice and the value for money is great!

A great hang-out when you feel like dressing up, and being a part of something beautiful.

I recommend O Six, to anyone who loves to pamper themselves and appreciate a gourmet experience!

I read about O Six here on Jeeran, so i reserved and went to try it out.

My experience was a average, a bit below even, mainly because of the level of service there.

I ordered Rocket salad, Ceaser Salad, Slider Bugers and Rib Eye Black Angus steak. The salads were fine, but the sliders were not so great, the bread was full of butter and the meat was a bit dry, they did not ask how i wanted the meat. it was reasonably priced at 7Jd's

The Rib Eye was alright, a bit expensive, 20Jd's.

The candles on the table kept turning off, and that did not bother me because it spoiled my romantic dinner, it was because the lighting was so low, during dinner, they changed the candles 3 times, the design of them is impractical because it floats on water and any table movement turns it off. I had to eventually ask them to turn the light up, i really could not see the food and the waiters seemed afraid to do so and kept on convincing me this is the standard of any lounge.

I would not say its not worth a visit, I got a bad table and maybe better training would empower the waiter to take action and not give excuses.

ps. you have to be above 25 to get in.

I`ve heard from my friends about this new place which is located inside Canyon Hotel opposite of Jordan Hospital, honestly i`ve neaver heard of that hotel except the other day when they talked about it and then i decided to give it a try.

The experience started from the valet smile, then to the host Haitham he`s very nice guy next to the old security man who`s standing next to the elevator, allof them were smilling in a very generous way that makes you feel like you own the place.

we got inside the place and i was surprised of the elegant crowd there, which is for me the most important thing in any place.

White lounges and two Bars with a very nice fire beside the bar that gives a nice spirit to the place.

we didnt order food but as i heard from friends its very good, the fries, burgers and pizza are mouth watering dishes should give it a try.

i liked the place and i recommend visiting it and give it a try ;)

I was blown away by O Six Gastro Lounge.. I went out a few days ago with 2 of my best friends to O Six to have dinner and catch up for old times' sake.

Though the place was packed that night, but the service was really attentive without being intrusive (thanks to our waiter)..I wish i could remember his name..

The food was just sublime, we started with their "just perfect" Chicken Spring Rolls served with the best dipping sauce in town, we also ordered their famous cheese sticks which are fried to "golden perfection" and then just by the time we finished the appetizers; the waiter started serving the main meal...

before I carry on, I'd like to say that it is very rare in Amman to find a restaurant that serves main courses straight-after the appetizers, cause most of them have a 15-20 minutes buffer time before serving the main dish,

but i guess O Six service just surpassed 'em all.

So if the appetizers were just perfect, the main course was beyond description, the Burger Sliders (10/10) the Pizza is even better than any Pizza you could have in a specialized pizza rest. in Amman, and the french fries were tender and crispy surpassing in their taste any fries i ever had...

I like the fact that the menu provides a lot of choices, which is something i admired, cause i cant wait for my next visit to try the other items they have on the menu...

way to go 'O Six' way to go ...
