Fatty Dabs Burger Shack

Definitely on the pricey side, but a great meal. Tried several burger joints in Amman this is by far my favorite. The quality of the food has been consistent and the service is exceptional. Love this place. Only complaint is the place is too small and doesn't accept credit cards.

فأخبرناه انه شكل الوجبة مختلف عن المتوقع و تذوقنا شيء منها و لم يعجبنا

فقال "أنا شغلي انظف شغل و ما في زي الأكل في مطعمي"

انا ما بدي زباين ما يعجبهم أكلي !!

و صارت مشكلة و كيف انه بيتصرف هيك!

و غادرنا المطعم

لا انصح بالمرة التعامل معه

ليس من اجل سعره المرتفع

و لا شكل الوجبة الغير مشجعة

و لكن لوقاحة التعامل و الغرور الغير مبرر

جربت النحل مع رفيقي كان الأكل زاكي

البطاطا طيبة

المعاملة منيحة

الديكور حلو

بس المحل ما كان كتير نظيف لازم يكوم أنظف

الأنارة جيدة

It was my worset visit to a restaurant in Jordan ever. I was waiting for my dish and I saw the manager "the cashier and he claimed later that he is the manager" approaches two ladies in the restaurant and asking them something related to their meal. One of them said that she didn't like the taste of it, and this is our right as customers. Yet he; in a strange way picked up a piece from the meal and eat from it!! then through it away and said that you don't know how food tastes. He was shouting aggressively, and he told them you are not welcome in my restaurant, and get out of here!!!

I thought it was a joke, a silly joke. Yet I was shocked and really feel guilty that I didn't say anything at that time.

I don't recommend this restaurant. They are rude and pompous.

الوجبات المقدمة مبالغ في اسعارها كثيراً خصوصا مقارنة مع الحجم الذي يتم توفيره

وجبة من الوجبات لم تعجب صديقي و طلب تغييرها و لكن الشيف الذي تصرف بعد لباقة واضحة و هو كما يقول صاحب المطعم و الفكرة قال انتم لا أريدكم زبائن عندي

و أضاف أنكم العرب أصحاب مشاكل!!! مع انه يفترض انه عربي!!!

كلام كهذا مرفوض على الرغم من محاولتنا ان نذكره بأننا زبائن و من حقنا أن نعترض على الطعم او الشكل او الخدمة

لكنه قال "انتوا شو بيفهمكوا، انا ما بيهمني رأيكم" !!!!

اتوقع ان هذه اسوء تجربة لي في مطعم في الأردن

و أسوء رد فعل و تعامل مع الزبون

لا أنصح أبداً بالذهاب لهذا المطعم

لست الأول الذي تعرض للإهانة

و لكن أتمنى أن أكون الأخير

hey guys , in a nutshell the prices are high at burger shack for utterly worthless beef, oily greasy potato, poor Hygiene , and the surprise is not about their stuff but its all about their unfriendliness owner !!!

he should take courses in communication skills and business managemnt ( no offence , it's a wise advice though )

girlz never go to that restaurant without guys , i went there last night, the one with nigro hair managing the cash was so rude , he came up to me asking about my opinion about the food and when i told him kindly that i didnt like it that much, he took part of my sandwich and tasted it then throw it again on the table and told me, i dont want such customers in my resataurant and kicked me out , i payed 17 JD for a low-quality and disgusting chicken sandwich and beef burger !

I have never really been a burger fan, but this place made me a burger addict! I don't know what's the secret but their meat tastes different than anything I've tasted before!

I know some people criticize their fries, but I personally like them, they are fresh and feel homemade instead of the frozen ones we usually get.

The place is clean and the owner is very friendly, something you don't usually see in places here.

My only concerns are the ventilation system, it could use some enhancements as well as the prices, they are relatively high, even though I personally think it's worth it.

My favorite place for burgers, I can’t describe the taste out of this world, I can say I am addicted to their burgers, the meat tastes different juicy clean and yummy the mixes and toppings are perfectly added, my favorite is the fatty burger, I tried their ice cream, something to die for, rich and full of flavor, not a commercial ice cream.

Based of my friends recommendations i decided to try it out.

Its located in Abdoun near (the old Abdoun Mall), the same building of KFC, in the second floor.

Place decoration is nice, stuff were helpful and the owner of the place manages the cash.

I ordered Backyard burger, the burger looks super delicious, but here are my comments:

- Burger size is very small .

- They put too many things inside the burger (arugula, Tomato, Chili pepper, bacon , Swiss cheese) so the taste of the burger gets lost.

- Their french fries is delicious .

- Cost is really high (it cost 8.5 Jds).

Honestly i got disappointed as i thought am going to have the best burger in town!

I think this is the best place to eat valuable burger in town, I tried it once and definitely I will try it again, I tried the backyard burger it was out of the world the meat very juicy medium well and the sandwich filled with lettuce, rocca, caramelized onion, cheese and beef bacon, the size of meal is large but the only thing that I didn't love the fries it is not crispy and didn't fit with the burger quality, overall the sitting area cozy and very friendly the staff and the service is very good, the price reasonable according to the burger places that offer such quality in Amman, my meal was 8,50 JD cost, it is good experience overall and highly recommended

Yum Yum Yummy .. I Love REAL Burger

This is one of my favorite places for real burger , My favorite burger is the Backyard Burger , the Sandwich always look beautiful. The shape, the size, the way everything very tidy it just look like the perfect burger , Now I will start with what I Like :

1+ CLEAN Place (VERY VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME )

2+ Friendly people

3+ Actual beef patty

4+ Delicious Burger

5+ Fresh Ingredients (VERY IMPORTANT)

6+ FRESH FRENCH FRIES NOT FROZEN

Now What, I don't Like :

1- The Fries is oily most of the times very oily ( I always ask why and they tell me the potato is not good next time it will be better).

2- I love my burger to be medium-well in Fatty Dabs they only make (Med-Well) burger BUT their medium well is Medium , So I have to order it Well done and too bad they can't do it well done :((

The place and the price :

Price 8 JD/Meal (Burger, Fries and Coke) now some people will say that the burger is small ! but no trust me the size is perfect ! , the place is small , But it's One of the best places for Burger if not the best ! ..

Perfection! If you haven't tried it, just go! I've yet to go to every burger place in town, but I have a very hard time believing any one could top this.

المحل كثير سمعت عنه لكن طلع عادي جدً , البرجر حجمه صغير يعني بدك 2 أو 3 منه حتى تشبع , البطاطا اقل من عادية كلها زيت و محروقه , كل هذا و سعره مبالغ فيه ! طلبت وجبة سعرها 8.5 دنانير و طبعاً بعد ما خلصت اكل طلعت اكمل اكل بحل ثاني يعني بدي 17 دينار حتى اشبع و ما بستاهل ابداً .

ديكور جيد , خدمة عادية , ناظافة منيحة .

one day i was in the coffe shop opposite the shack..then when i saw the bar chairs outside and how the view was amazing i decided to get in...the burger was absolutely the best in the town but the portion is not that enough for me and the potatoes is home made one...

i give it 70%

Burger Shack has the best burgers in town with a variety of burgers to choose from. My personal favorite and which I would recommend -specially if you are going for the first time- is their classic burger. They also have a selection of soups, fresh salads and delicious dessert options.

- Both the food and the place are very clean. You can see the entire kitchen and watch them as they prepare your food.

- The staff/ owners are very friendly and passionate about making super yummy burgers.

- The price for a meal (burger + fries + soft drink) is around 8 Jds. Many people feel that their prices are a bit expensive -in comparison to other burger places in town - however it is definitely worth it!

- The ventilation inside the restaurant is not really great so your clothes will need to go to laundry if you eat indoors! They do have a nice bar-like area with stools outdoors, which is only an option if the weather is nice.

-They also offer takeaway and home delivery (not sure if the delivery service is for free)!

- Finding a parking space is not always easy as the place is located close to a very narrow road. However, you can use Abdoun Mall's parking lot as it is very close by (just a 2-3 minute walk).

In conclusion... best burgers in town! Highly recommended :)

This place is overrated, I ordered 2 different types of burgers and both are just horrible, even the owners are not willing to accept criticism, when i told them about my opinion, they felt offended. they were not even willing to say thank you for your opinion!!

you pay 8 jds and you get in return a very very bad beef and the cheapest burger bun ever ...and i dont wanna get started with the french fries...

Well i am going to make it short and sweet. I am an american who enjoys a damn good burger and i have very high standards when it comes to food. Im from New York and know a thing or two about high quality food, service and above all CLEANLINESS. This place shatters all 3 of the standards. thanks Fatty Dabs, i miss you all already. I will be back in Amman in December and can't wait to have my favorite "Backyard" and Cookie Dough Milkshake. Keep on keepin on guys!!

Wow! Now THAT's a burger! That's what my stomach said to me after I downed my first Fatty D burger (a spicy Inferno).

Definitely the best burger I've had anywhere outside the U.S...and the burgers here give the best the US has to offer a run for their money as well. Put quite simply, the burgers are among the best I've ever had, their fries are phenomenal, and their homemade desserts (milkshakes, ice cream, waffles, cookies, and sundaes) are amazing. I'm told that even their salads are great (but I would never know).

Just how good is Fatty D's? My cousin and I ate there 4 times in 24 hours! It's definitely worth a visit.

Trivia time:

Fatty Dab's is not named for their excessive marbling of their beef or what their food will do to cholesterol levels but rather for the name of the chef/proprietor Fadi Dababneh (Fatty Dab's). The restaurant is a family affair and I chalk up at least part of their success to the time they all spent in Chicago -- the fairest city in all the land and one of the best when it comes to fast food. Now if only Chi-style dogs, Italian Beef and Deep-Dish pizza could make it to Amman....

Excellent burger, only true 'diner feel' in town in my opinion. The newly introduced shakes are fantastic altho a little sugary. Love the authenticity. If you're looking for a boring burger, this is not the place for you.

8JDs for a burger, fries, and a drink is reasonable compared to other places. How much would the same portion cost at a similar quality restaurant? There aren't any around in my opinion, but compared to other burger joints its in the same ballpark, except quality is a lot better.

Hygiene is great once you're in the restaurant or in the outdoor area. However, climbing the staircase to the place was a terrible experience in terms of cleanliness. Have to work on that.
