Bourj Al Hamam

My wife and I tried Burj Al Hamam last night for our anniversary. It is nice enough for a special meal but could also be relaxed enough to go out for a enjoyable meal with friends. The mezze were fantastic. They make the best tabouleh I've ever had. There is always something missing from the mix when we order it elsewhere (no salt, not enough lemon juice, etc.) but Burj Al Hamam has it down perfect.

For our main entre we had the Beef Filet Burj Al Hamam. I'm guessing it was cooked in traditional Lebanese sytle. While tasty, it is not what we expected. To pound a beef filet down to 5mm is near sinful in my book but I can't judge them on that because I'm not here to judge a country's cuisine.

The staff was very friendly and the service was great.

I marked it as pricey but that is solely because of the hotel factor. For some reason if you order a soda or water at a hotel it suddenly costs 3 JD for one can of Pepsi. This drives me absolutely crazy... 1000% markup is shameful. Other than this the prices of the dinner items were fairly priced.

If you're living in Aqaba it's nice to eat dinner here and then go stroll on their nice imported sand beach ;) We relaxed on the beach chairs for a while and watched the beautiful gulf of Aqaba while in the Intercon grounds.

I love Burj Al Hamam, I always know I'm in for a great meal no matter what we order.

The menu consists of very traditional Lebanese dishes and desserts. We always get overwhelmed and order too many starters and salads!

The mezze (or selection of salads and starters) is usually my favorite part. You must try the Bamya bi zait or Okra with olive oil, goat cheese, Fatoush - mixed fresh vegetables with special dressing.

We always go for the mixed grill for our main, and it is always well cooked and tender.

They serve Alcohol, and have a decent selection of wines. There is a smoking area and the service is generally quick, even when the place is packed.

لقد كان الطعام فيه لذيذ جدا ونظافة المطعم من انظف المطاعم وانظمها والترتيب كان من اولويات المطعم اذ كان مرتب بابهى الترتيب وكانت اسعاره مناسبه للزبائن اي ليست غاليه وخمة الزبائن فيه من احسن ما يكون لقد كانت ممتازه بشكل جيد جدا
